It has a busy entertainment schedule with plenty of acts visiting and is popular with a wide range of ages. In addition to a large bar there is a huge function room which can be hired with a stage at one end and a bar at the other. This would be a great if you are expecting lots of guests, the furnishings in the room are nothing flash, pretty much what you would expect from a working mans club but I must say that the hall from the front door to the room is overdue a makeover and re-paint. The bar is cheap, my tipple, a double bacardi and coke is £2.40, much much cheaper than the town.

Kyrnen turns out to be an absolutely unique park mainly consisting of live shows, each lasting 20-40 minutes all telling a story of the land. Going from Vikings to the Victorians, a fantastic bird show and England in the 1100s and 1400s with great action this is a great day out and that at a very reasonable price of £30/person.

It is just so heart warming to watch all of these talented volunteers give up so much time and energy to create this wonderful re-enactment of so many important events and people that help make this country. Everyone, from small children to all ages of adults, as well as the trained and managed, animals were incredible in their respective roles. I fully enjoyed every moment of the show!! The only downside if the event was them running out of food, especially since you can't bring anything in. But I feel that will get resolved next year!

Live music & comedians Saturday & Sunday afternoons with food & beer tent available. Some seating is provided & porta loos also. On Monday a procession of floats leaves the glaxo area at the top of the town & then winds it's way down the main Rd through the town to the show field. A nice family day, weather permitting, it has been known to be cold windy & raining but it's the true British spirit that makes us attend.
