Plenty of folks enjoying their drinks, chatting, and soaking in the atmosphere. I grabbed a seat at one of the larger tables, hopped on the wifi, and ordered a coffee to start the day. Their menu is impressively broad, with a huge selection of coffees and a generous array of breakfast, lunch, and brunch options--everything from baked goods and sandwiches to salads and smoothies. There's truly something for everyone. The wifi worked just fine, and the atmosphere was warm and spirited. It's the kind of place that buzzes with conversation and community. I stayed for about an hour, and it was clear this spot is a local favorite. Can a place be too popular? Maybe--but that's part of its charm. The seating is a bit cramped, but honestly, that almost adds to the character of the place. It definitely has that neighborhood feel where many of the customers and staff seem to know each other, which gave it a warm, welcoming atmosphere. And we still enjoy that shop as well. At C&J we purchased spicy and plain pork sausage links, pork chops, 2 custom cut steaks. We are very happy with their products. I very much liked the link sausages, for breakfast and dinner recipes. The owner was very pleasant and attentive. She gave us some history of the shop while we were there. The shop is very clean, well kept and organized. They pay close attention to these details there and we like that. It is 'out in the country' off the main highway. But for us, it was well worth the trip. You'll find them on Facebook, along with their operating hours.

Layden's Supermarket - A Meat Lover's Paradise!…read more I would highly recommend Layden's Supermarket to anyone looking for top-quality meats and a unique shopping experience. They have the best steaks, chicken, pork chops, and sausages around always fresh and packed with flavor. One of the things I love most is that they'll cut steaks, luncheon meat, and ham exactly to your liking. making sure you get just what you want. Their prices are a great value for the quality you're getting, and the selection is so much better than anywhere else I've shopped. Besides the incredible meat choices, Layden's also offers some grocery staples, homemade candy, sodas, and even smoked whole ham legs perfect for anyone who enjoys a little something extra. Every time I visit North Carolina, I make it a point to stop by Layden's and stock up on as much meat as I can fit in my freezer even if it means driving six to eight hours drive! It's always worth the trip and the money. And let me tell you, the chicken drumsticks are so big, I can only eat one at a time! If you're a fan of fresh, flavorful meats and love discovering specialty grocery items, Layden's Supermarket is absolutely the place to go.
