I've had two successful repairs to glass in the past at this location. I brought one of the same pieces for another repair that I was unsure could even be performed. They says they would try, and would call me if the repair was not possible. A few days later I was called and told the repair wasn't possible. Unfortunately, in the process to heat the glass for pre-cleaning, the piece cracked. The owner personally came out to explain what happened, and offered me anything in their store that was comparable to the cost of the repair. As it turned out, I noticed this location has a selection of products priced at 50% off. I asked about them, and they clarified their were fully functional, just cosmetically imperfect. I saw a piece that I actually noticed when I first dropped of my piece for repair, and noticed it was in the 50% off selection. I asked about it, and they pointed out the most insignificant defects that are only noticeable to the true glass enthusiast. I asked if I could take it, and the owner didn't even charge me for the downstem or bowl piece. I went here a long time a go in 2006 and came back the other day. I got a water pipe for $30 and it came with a stem and bowl and the lady threw in a free extra bowl. I didnt spent much time just asked for the cheapest water pipes and she showed me some older ones for $20 and $30 in different sizes. Interesting place. Looks huge from the outside and I was surprised how small it actually was. The lady behind the counter was helpful enough. I told her I was looking for a glass pipe with a percolator and she showed me a $200 piece. Nice glass but I was looking for something smaller in the $60-$80 range. I asked about some of the pieces on the other side of the counter and she said they were defective. She showed me a 17 inch AMG 6-arm perc beaker with minor scratches she said were from the baking process. She sold it to me for $60 and it's still going strong 2 months later. I did crack the female joint where the stem fits in but that was my own fault. I'd definitely recommend people to check this place out, but go in knowing what you're looking for. read more

I would like to start off by saying the customer service here is exceptional. I went in with a broken rig for them to fix but then decided on getting a new rig all together. That night I noticed a defect on the new rig i had purchased, so the next day I took it back and sure enough they swapped it out for a new non defective rig no questions asked. I'm currently in love with my new rig and I would definitely recommend THE SYSTEM to anyone who needs anything smoke shop related. I don't know the names of the two people who helped me but one was a younger man and the other was a middle aged women, both very nice and knowledgeable. Again great customer service. I think they have a similar spot in Venice Beach, nothing amazingly fancy but contains the average goodies. Looks more quantity over quality but there are some custom ones, perhaps the local artists? I wasn't able to find what i was looking for here or the one on Venice Beach but all worth peeping it out! This spot had a lot of customers and it seemed very busy! read more

This is the happiest review I have ever had the privilege of posting. I have been trying to find someone to repair two pieces of glass for the last seven or eight years, and every single person has told me there is nothing they can do it cannot be fixed. My glasses been sitting in my closet unusable since then. I just about gave up hope until a friend of mine suggested I give the system a call. Best decision I ever made. I brought those pieces in to them. They said that one of them was fixable and the other was not. They made me a perfect new piece for the one they said they could fix. For the other, I ask them to cut the percolator out and just make it a straight shot. When I arrived to pick up my glass, my mind was blown. They put a brand new amazing percolator in there and you can barely tell work was ever done to it. You guys are amazing and you have a grateful customer for life. "Granny's got a new rig" After months of glass shopping everywhere else, I found the perfect 'rig' that fits my needs at The System in Reseda. Being blown away from all the selections, is an understatement. Looks like a jewelry store. I explained to the very lovely "M" what my preferences were and price range. She showed me many combinations and systems to choose from. I decided on a beautiful piece that has a 'diamond chandelier' looking diffuser. And then selected a couple of bowls and an adapter. Thus the perfect name for my new system being "Chandelier" If you are looking for superior glass at spectacular prices, this is the place to visit. For someone who rolls his own Tobacco I usually like to also get high (no pun intended) quality custom made glass. I recently moved here from Washington and have been having trouble finding a shop that carried everything I need for my lifestyle when it comes to this particular recreation. Last Tuesday I found the system online after a new friend recommend me to try this place. So I took the chance and decided to go. I am usually in and out when it comes to shops like these and normally customer service isn't always the best. My experience was different the store was in pretty good shape and the vibe was pretty chill, I was helped by a blonde woman who asked how my day was and even explained the products to me as well. I told Her that I recently moved here and she was so cool and welcoming and very knowledgeable about the products. I normally don't write reviews but I am doing it! The system now has a new retuning regular. You guys made my experience more than 5 stars. read more

I have been coming here for years now and have brought many of my friends and family over the years. The owners are sweet and always give me a good deal but the lady that works in the front always claims "she doesn't smoke so she doesn't know" The thing is your working in a smoke shop you should know your products (especially after working there for so many years!) when I asked if I could see if my oil cartridge was compatible with a battery I wanted to buy she said sure. A tiny bit of VAPOR came through and she immediately got upset and said she "doesn't want to be around smoke" and acted like I had literally just did crack in front of her. THIS IS A SMOKE SHOP you should not judge and make smokers feel uncomfortable. She then called me a liar when I told the owner she doesn't know the products "lying through my teeth" to be exact. As I was walking out she was staring me down so I asked her if she had any other accusations for me and she said "I was not right in the head". The owners are cool but I'm sorry if I'm investing money in tools and expensive pieces I expect to buy from someone who know what they're selling and isn't discriminatory against what they're selling as well as insulting. read more
