Align Cycling just opened up in June after being in the Burlington area and being previously known…read moreas REV. They've expanded their mission and now offer both fitness and cycling classes at their studio. I took a fitness class this week, which was an hour long, and what I loved about it is that they focused on mobility, posture and form while lifting, and core strength. We spent the first 15 minutes warming up, stretching, and rolling out our muscles. I love that it was focused on form and mobility, unlike other fitness classes I've taken. I also took a spin class here and their spin studio is huge and beautiful! It had so many bikes! They also use headsets for their spin studio, which I had never used before. You can adjust the volume for your personal headset and listen to the music as loud as you like. This was so appreciated because I always have to use earplugs at other studios because the music is so loud. The bikes also have baskets for regular sneakers OR you can turn over the pedals and clip in with spin shoes, I've never seen that before, it's so cool! You can rent spin shoes here for $3. A couple things to note: they don't offer a free class for your first time in the studio, and most studios I've been to offer a free class to explore the studio and see if you're interested in their space. I'm curious if this will change as they become more established. They have class packs for their fit classes, and class packs for their spin classes, but they don't have combined class packs unless you get their unlimited studio pass, which I was a little bummed about because I had wanted to try both. I just purchased a day pass for each class - the fitness class drop in is $24 for an hour long class, and the spin class drop in is $22 for a 45 minute class. They also don't provide towels for their classes, which would be a nice addition. Most spin studios I've gone to provide towels for their guests. The studio is beautiful and clean, and all of the equipment looks brand new. I'm excited to see this place grow as they continue to make adjustments and become established in the community!

I…read morejust read someone's review before me who thinks "winning isn't everything" and "children should be playing, not training". My response to you is to each their own. My daughter is at her happiest when she is in the gym. Those girls are her sisters and she enjoys spending time with them. Her coaches are the best in the state, and truly care about their gymnasts. This IS her idea of a good time, and when I tell her it's time to go to gymnastics, she responds, "yay!" That never ceases to amaze me after 6 years of training (she began at another Vermont gym). I have never had to force anything on her, she has a competitive nature, and this is her passion. I only support it. When we go to meets we are the loudest and happiest bunch, cheering each other on, with the owners in the front row yelling out our children's names, and yes, we bring home titles. There is nothing wrong with being the best at something, and striving toward a common goal. If you have a little girl, or boy, that also loves gymnastics, I highly recommend Regal. Whether team or just recreational, their facility is top notch. They also have a Ninja Warrior training area that they recently expanded.

This local favorite suffers from a variety of problems…read more First the customer service is sometimes fair, but normally subpar if even that good. Customer service is certainly not their strong suit. I completely understand how they compete and win in area competitions. The desire and pressure I have witnessed for near perfection from young children (4-8 year olds) can only be explained as fierce. Maybe it's my belief and raising to believe winning isn't everything and it's all about learning and having fun for children that slants my view. However I have a hard time believing that these children are better off spending most of their day strictly training than just being kids and playing. Maybe it's time for parents to start recalling their own childhood and how fun it was to be a kid. Over the last few years we have attended open gym. The gyms has been regularly used at the same time by the daycare program and I have had the luxury of witnessing the strict structure implemented. Additionally I can't tell you how many times (a lot) that we have entered and only seen one staff in the entire hour of our visit. Many times this staff is a young girl whom I assume must be the owners daughter, otherwise she'd be attending school during the day. I understand daycare facilities fill up fast and parents are choosing more and more to work instead of staying home, but I would encourage you to do extra visits prior to selecting this location for your child.
