Might have been a small portion of the fishtail that fell off in the fryer that ended up being cooked over and over. Leads me to believe that they do not strain/sieve their deep fryer throughout the day to eliminate debris, but they will sell that to you. Didn't have this issue with the prior owners. Explains why they do not have the slamming business that the Twist n' Shake had.

Their cones are way bigger than those at any other ice cream place in or around town. We visit there at least 2-3 times a week. The service is fabulous. It does take a long time to get waited on.
