After moving to this part of Atlanta recently, I was amazed at the cost/waitlist/class size of many daycares in the area. I "interviewed" several places and was starting to question whether or not I was going to find a place that I felt comfortable taking my kids to everyday. The Goddard School Austell is the same place my niece and nephew went 8 years ago and without question is the best! Mrs. Lauren was immediately warm and welcoming inviting us in to see this "family feel" preschool. She is always open for conversation, empathetic, real, transparent and a parent herself. She employs a staff that also models those qualities. If we have ever had a concern about our children (potty training, bottle weaning, tantrums etc)... they are all there to assist, work with us and ultimately foster love, patience, knowledge and kindness in our babies! They have a curriculum that is followed and emailed monthly. Daily reports are sent out over a phone app making it easy to check in on the kids each day. Healthy breakfasts and catered (healthy) lunches are provided each day, along with snacks in between. They have nice playgrounds that the kids love playing on when it is nice outside and a large open gym to run around in when it is raining or too cold to be outside, with a built in rock climbing wall, what?! Along with the day-to-day activities, they are always doing special things around the holidays for the kids/parents (Christmas program, Easter egg hunt, Valentines, etc). I honestly could go on and on about all the ways The Goddard School Austell is a phenomenal daycare... but most importantly, I don't have to question what type of care my little ones are getting. I know in my absence they are being loved, nurtured, comforted and allowed to grow, learn and explore in a warm and caring environment...every day. I will not take them anywhere else and will be very sad when they have to leave. Thank you all at Goddard Austell!

One day, I saw a teacher spray water toward my child's face with a spray bottle. I understood that spray bottles may have been used outside to help cool children off in the summer, but what I saw concerned me enough that I asked administration for a meeting to better understand the policy and whether spray bottles were ever used for anything other than cooling off. When I spoke with Lauren, I did not feel my concern was received well. The conversation focused more on my wording and whether I was accusing the school of abuse than on giving me clarity about what I had seen. I left the conversation feeling that my concern as a parent had been met defensively rather than constructively. Because of that interaction, we withdrew our child that day. I had a positive impression of some parts of Goddard overall, but based on my experience with this specific location, I would not personally recommend it.

Kidzone has prepared my son by enforcing writing skills and reading skills. Our expectations are pretty high... They have been exceeded at Kids Zone. Most of our neighborhood prefers the school over the others due to Kidzone's Focus on academics. The infant room was what sealed the deal for us... It is the best infant room in East Cobb ( we toured them ALL) The teacher, Andrea, infant teacher, treats infants with delicate care and full attention. This was very important to us when we started at the school. The ratios at the school are below the norm, that has been the case for all the classes my children have been in. Children get additional attention here. Also, I must say that the food is awesome and all prepared from scratch at the school. The kitchen is cleaner than my own! The food options are so nutritious and my kiddos love it - even zucchini! Fresh cut fruit, muffins made from scratch, fresh veggies etc. we couldn't be happier with our experience at Kidzone.

Imagine being rushed up in the morning and sending your daughter with possibly the quickest hair do possible and at the time of picking her up, finding her hair beautifully braided (sometimes even better than I can do as a mom) by her teachers. I mean talk about being awesome!! Special shout out to my daughter's teachers - Ms. Natalie, Ms. Cassie, Ms. Sandy and Ms. Suchi for their love and care. Rather the entire staff is awesome. Huge Kudos to the Kids Zone Management Team and a big thanks for all the effort you put in towards making child care a loving experience not only for the kids but for the parents as well. The school was always clean, it never smelled like a daycare, and they were always doing fun things with all age groups (no one was left out). If we had a concern, the director's door was open and she actually addressed our concerns.... she did not simply pacify us and turn her back. The teaching staff had good morale and were generally friendly. They did so many small things to make each day special for the kids. They NEVER let a child walk into/out of their school without a personal greeting. I would say that this is a very safe and well run school. Nicole is an excellent director, she takes good care of the kids AND the parents. You can't forget that parents write the checks. I might also add that my child learned more in Mrs. Flugman's pre-k class at this school, than she learned the next year at another location in kindergarten. They take great pride in their program and they really care about every kid in that school. Very glad my child had a chance to learn with Primrose at Oregon Park. I could go on and on.....this place was very impressive. Well done Nicole and staff.

My child was always safe and well looked after but also given independence that was suitable for a 5 year old. She had a decent class size of 20 and two awesome teachers. All three directors were such a joy to work with and communicate with. Breakfast, snack and lunch were provided daily (through Georgia Pre-k program) and I was very thankful she received such health meals and portions. A full menu was listed every single month to view in the lobby. She learned more than I expected and during her kindergarten assessment, the teachers were impressed. She did plenty of hands-on learning in different "centers", play time outside, daily naps (or quiet time if she couldn't nap), and she did so well with the routine. The center itself had safety protocols in place, each parent had passcodes assigned to the to enter the building, and we also used an app to communicate with all staff and teachers. I received daily photos of what my child was working on or participating in. The center was clean, bright, welcoming. They held different events throughout the year where families could attend and enjoy with the staff (I loved being able to be involved!). They also held curriculum nights to learn more about what the children were doing and learning in class. They had plenty of theme days and really kept things "fun" for the families and parents. Even "Muffins with Mom" or "breakfast on the go". Directors Lisa, Leslie and Cheryl were absolutely wonderful. All staff members I came in contact with were always loving, caring, professional. I am truly so thankful we had a great experience and that my child was always safe. We love and appreciate the Laugh and Learn team!

At first, we were very skeptical when it comes to choosing the perfect school/daycare for our first child to attend. We wanted to make sure that we chose the perfect school the first time. As you can imagine this involves thorough research and interviews with multiple schools. After visiting five other schools in the area, Primrose of Wade Green was our last stop... literally. We were just amazed with the level of education, service and support that was offered to the children AND the parents. The facility is extremely clean and well kept. I love the fact they start teaching sign language to infants, this really helped our son communicate with us without frustration. For first time parents, they were very helpful, and made us feel very comfortable with a strong sense of security. Also, I have to admit, our child eats better than we do at Primrose of Wade Green. They knock it out of the park when it comes to nutrition, and we receive a weekly menu! One of my favorite perks has to be the surprise emails. Throughout the day, Primrose staff takes many pictures of all the beautiful children and on occasion they email us photos of our child enjoying his day...what a treat! Everyone at Primrose makes an effort to bond with your child and they are determined to make sure the kids are always happy. In closing, we love Primrose and make sure to tell everyone about our experience. I cannot imagine ever going to another school/daycare for my childcare needs. Thanks for being superb PRIMROSE of WADE GREEN!!
