If you're riding down Highway 17 through Pawleys Island and haven't stopped at Pawleys Island…read moreBakery yet, go ahead and fix that. I've been meaning to swing by for a while and finally made it happen this morning. I called my order in ahead of time so it would be ready for pickup, and everything was smooth from the start. They've got plenty of parking -- a nice, big, clean lot that makes it easy to get in and out without fighting traffic. When you walk inside, it's a cute, welcoming space with a counter full of beautiful desserts and baked goods. Even though I had already ordered, it was hard not to stand there and admire everything in the case. I went with a bacon, egg, and cheese on a hard roll -- and it was better than I expected. Large, fresh, and clearly made with top-notch ingredients. One of those breakfast sandwiches that feels like it was done right, not rushed. You can taste the quality. The staff member on duty was polite and genuinely hospitality-minded. It didn't feel like a quick transaction. After handing over my order, there was a mention that cakes were being baked in the back and that normally there would be more cakes in the case -- just letting me know more items were coming out. That kind of small detail says a lot about customer service. It felt thoughtful and welcoming. They had three coffee options today: cinnamon bun, pecan, and Kona. I went with the plain Kona, and it was a great cup of coffee -- smooth and flavorful. My only "complaint"? I wish the cup was just a little bigger. All in all, Pawleys Island Bakery delivered a solid breakfast experience -- good food, good coffee, and good hospitality. I'll definitely be back to try some of those cakes next time.

After driving by here countless times I decided to stop. Very disappointed. No bread to be seen,…read morea few pastries a small selection of cakes and pies. I settled on Banana Muffin. It was stale. Maybe they are running a deli not a bakery.

Small, clearly-family, little breakfast/lunch place right next to a Kroger. The menu is limited…read more(and their website is down right now), but I added updated photos of the September 2025 menu. They mostly have your standard breakfast fare along with some sandwiches. There are only a few tables, but they aren't cramped. You order at the counter and just take a seat, and your food and drinks will be served to you. I'd guess there's only two people working here on a random weekday. Expect your food to take a bit, but it's completely fresh, piping hot, and absolutely delicious. Portion sizes were large but balanced. I often can't finish sweet crepes due to getting sugar'd out. This one felt very focused on the fruit and allowing the Nutella to take a passenger, enhancing vibe instead. Omelette was cheese-central. I might ask for lighter cheese next time, but it was ridiculously delicious too. Croissants were SUPER light and fluffy, and they get served warm for you. Really tasty, perfectly baked. Bathroom was a single unisex room and older, but it was clean. Two booths that'll seat four people as well as multiple two-person tables with wooden, no-armed chairs. No stairs, and while it'd be a tight fit, a wheelchair could fit in here. (I don't think the bathroom is wheelchair accessible, though.) The guy running the place wasn't super friendly, but he wasn't *unfriendly*, and he was very efficient. He also popped in to see if we needed things and was there to deliver silverware and other things before we asked for them. If staff reads this: please replace/update the folded, faded paper signs on the outside of the building. That's part of why we haven't given this place a try in so long - and I'm sad we hadn't!

Over the years I've gotten pretty familiar with their menu which precludes me from my more usual, detailed review. To the point...Croissants is and always has been a five star place for me across the board for food, service, ambience, and everything and anything else in between. Trust me. If you come to MB eat here. You'll thank me later Bon appétit.

I was standing there for about 8 minutes and no one said a word to me. I asked people at the kiosk if I order something with them and they said I order at the register. So was a few more minutes until someone asked what I wanted to order. There was a lot of employees so Im not sure why it takes so long to address or acknowledge a customer. -Lemon tart-This taste is more like vanilla custard with a hint of lemon as if they literally just put some lemon zest in there and call it a lemon tart. I ate the custard part and threw the shell away. Pass on this one. ($5.95) -Cannoli cream macaron- cookie was raw in the middle, didnt' taste anything like cannoli. ($2) -Irish cream macaron-was fully baked but wasn't that great ($2) -Egg bacon cheese croissant sandwich was ok The egg was kind of like a omelette texture. ($15) -Deviled eggs- very good, a tiny kick and a lil liquidy but very tasty. Pricey at $4 an egg ($8)
