Firstly, I think I should quickly point out that the Sun Inn is in Harle Syke rather than Briercliffe. If you know Burnley, then the difference between the two is only a case of a few hundred metres but it's a difference all the same. The Sun Inn is a friendly pub and has a village atmosphere to it. Everyone seems to know everyone and if you don't know who all the patrons are when you walk in, you probably will by the time you go home. The drinks are reasonably priced, service always comes with a smile and it's a comfortable atmosphere to relax with a pint. There's a car park outside if you're driving but it's close enough to Burnley town centre that a taxi won't set you back too much, or there are a number of buses available. The pub has a great community feel to it with barbecues in the summer and the now infamous soap box race. Definitely one of Burnley's livelier and friendlier drinking establishments. read more
