I can't remember the name of the guy I had, a big guy. (like that's not vague) I believe he owns the place. He's not much of a talker but boy can he tattoo. Has one of the lightest touches too. He can get the ink in without making you crawl out of your skin in pain. I would love to get some more ink by him. Just need to figure out what I want.

After meeting Staci, and having a conversation involving candy, expectations for piercing, and signing a waiver, I got seated promptly as a walk in, and was taken into the back for my first piercing. She was professional, courteous, friendly, and highly informative as well as supportive for after care. With a bright disposition and welcoming attitude, I will definitely be back here again and stay in touch in future. Thanks for the great first experience- one of many more to come~! :)

This piercer had a lot of red flags and in hindsight I should've not even gotten it done there as soon as I saw the equipment, and even before I got there because Staci was just brushing me and my concerns/questions off before the actual session. The first red flag was she had her apprentice pierce me and she wasn't even there to supervise. 2nd red flag was them using bioflex (which is made out of plastic and should never be used for initial piercings and titanium is the only appropriate piercing to be used, they were touting it like it was the best thing to use though) I should've walked out as soon as I saw that because never in my life have I been pierced with bioflex, it's always titanium flatbacks. They used 18g needles and said my piercing will heal as 20g too which is not a good gauge for cartilage piercings, they told me to just stretch it which is counterintuitive, CARTILAGE IS MORE RIGID AND WILL CAUSE ME A LOT MORE PAIN TO STRETCH!!!. I went to an APP store and they said while the piercing was straight, it's just the jewelry was highly inappropriate bc it's a corkscrew for nose piercings. Anyways I came back and Staci just exploded at me saying it was an insult I got a second opinion and just very passive aggressively telling me to sit down and she'll put metal in my ear if I wanted that so bad. It made me highly uncomfortable and I didn't even mean to insult her, besides she can't even be mad because it was her apprentice and NOT HER who pierced me. I spent 50 bucks to be berated and I will not be going back again. I felt very blindsided especially since she's been saying she uses surgical steel, even that's better than bioflex. I feel SCAMMED. Avoid this piercer. She was very defensive and mean, I have the RIGHT to get a second opinion because it's my body, no reason for her to be so unprofessional and raise her voice at a customer like that. I asked her to educate me on bioflex and she got even madder and defensive. Traumatic experience.

If the staff are nice, that's a bonus. This place has it all and deserves all five stars I'm bestowing. I initially went to their Granville Street location to inquire about tattoo removal, and they referred me to this Kits site, saying that the laser tattoo removal machine at Kits is state of the art, requires less repeat visits and is the least painful. (I wish I remember the name of this machine, but I researched it online and indeed, it was new and highly reviewed "in the biz"). The staff at this Granville site were friendly and helpful to me, but I did not get anything done here, as I went to Kits instead. I was impressed, though, with how big this store was (and, as a side note, my kid got two ear cartilage piercings here - unbeknownst to me! , - and she told me, weeks after the fact, that the staff here were very friendly and professional with her and they did a great job. So, kudos to the Granville store!). Back to Kits....there's a guy there named Craig who is unbelievably awesome with tattoo removals. I can't say enough about him. He won't make promises that he can't back up (I really respect people who tell it to me straight), and he is patient in explaining the whole process, from beginning to end, including follow-up care and procedures. I've now been back to him three times over the past 18 months. My tattoo is nearly gone (most people probably would have been happy with the results after the second zapping, as it was so faint, but my goal is for it to be totally GONE. I think the third time's the charm). Once I did not prepare in advance and did not put on the topical EMLA cream, which numbs the area, and it did hurt more than the other two times. Not crazy-painful, but like continuous snapping of an elastic on my skin. But with the cream application, it was barely noticeable. And Craig uses a cold fan of sorts to the area simultaneously as he zaps the area with the laser. I'm talking numbing cold. It really helps to minimize the pain, confusing the nerve pain receptors to the brain somehow. Anyhow, even without the EMLA cream, it was totally do-able. But if you can apply the cream in advance, it does make a difference. (I got the cream at the No Frills on Broadway for a very reasonable price. Worth every cent). It's not cheap here but there's NO WAY I'd scrimp pennies on tattoos or piercings or laser tattoo removals! No WAY! Craig and the rest of the staff here are super friendly. The kind of folks you'd want to be friends with (and, coming from me, a straightlaced, suburban-mom-type, yes, I'm saying I'd love to be friends with these 20-something guys and gals with huge gauge earring holes and multiple piercings and tattoos. These guys are incredibly warm and nice and, anyhow, everything else is just superficial stuff). And more importantly, they adhere strictly to the highest of standards and professionalism. The store has a small selection of cute gift items for sale, too: cell phone cases, water bottles, beach towels and t-shirts, etc. FYI: there's also an Adrenaline in Toronto and Montreal.

OLYA is the artist who did this snake piece. Very poorly done. Doesn't look like a professional did it. Very uneven and inconsistent scaling. I was super unhappy with it and decided to get all the scaling done at a different shop. When I brought my piece to be done to the other artist, she was shocked on how badly it was done, and that Adrenaline should really be refunding me. When I brought up my concerns to adrenaline, they basically blamed me and said because I went to another artist and "didn't give them the opportunity to fix it" they wouldn't refund anything. Furthermore, they decided to blame how "red ink settles differently" LOL hilarious... look at the zoomed in red snake attached. TERRIBLE. Sloppy. Inconsistent. It's the lines from the artist not the RED INK, Adrenaline... In what world would I want to come back for another artist to mess it up further?! No person would do that. I'm sure all the tattoo artists here have that same level of skill set so yes of course I went to a different shop. And I didn't even ask for a full refund, all I was requesting was a partial. The fact that Adrenaline & Olya can look at these photos and say it's "well done" And not understand why I'm upset...is laughable. Adrenaline is a money hungry, franchised trash bin of a tattoo shop. It's a good place if you want something simple and small & straightforward but anything other than that, don't go here lol. This is the type of tattoos adrenaline does! And they don't even own up to their own mess ups either.

**Obsessed doesn't even begin to cover it**…read more Visiting Vancouver from the States, I stumbled across *The Fall* while scrolling through the internet--and I'm so glad I did. After some research, I knew I had to have my tattoo done by Fay. A few weeks before my trip, I called, paid my deposit, and sent over my design with the tweaks I wanted. Everything was set, and my excitement started to build. Fast forward to the day of my appointment--I arrived right on time, and Fay was already waiting, ready to go. She printed out my design, and let me tell you: she *nailed it*. First try, no edits needed. She even printed a few different sizes so we could settle on the perfect one. And before I knew it, she was tattooing. Yes, it hurt (because, of course it does), but the pain faded as quickly as it came. Chatting with Fay was a blast, and to top it off, she even touched up one of my older tats. And the pricing? Absolutely fantastic for the quality. But I wasn't done. Apparently, one tattoo wasn't enough--I decided to get a tragus piercing with Adam. Now, it had been 10 years since I'd had anything pierced, so naturally, I didn't quite remember what to expect. But Adam was a total pro. He distracted me effortlessly with great conversation, and before I knew it, the piercing was done. His vibe? Impeccable. Between the tats and the piercing, this experience was beyond exceptional. I'd travel out of my way again just to come back here. Thank you for making my visit unforgettable!

He was warm and welcoming, putting to easy my nerves. He drew up my idea beautifully! He did an excellent job using conversation to make the session go smoothly. He not only brightened it up but also did a little once over on other areas to better blend the new work with the old, so now I have a lovely collection of autumn leaves and a greater definition of my birds against the grey wash in the background. Jarret has a really lovely demeanour, is calm and friendly to chat with (I didn't even need my phone!) and is a quick, knowledgeable, and skilled tattooist. I would recommend him without hesitation.

As such, I spent most of my time in the waiting room in the front lobby killing time. What I can tell you: The place is clean and orderly. The front staff were very friendly, and after observing them for an hour or so (as there wasn't much to do while waiting), they were very professional and helpful, to clients at the venue and over the phone. The waiting room consists of some padded chairs and a coffee table with binders with the various tattoos you can get. There's a water cooler and a washroom as well. I couldn't tell if they had free wifi, but there was one of those 'linksys' unsecured access points with full bars that worked from the lobby, which was handy for me since I was able to write a few Yelp reviews on my laptop while I was sitting around waiting (but with all unsecured wifi spots, especially those that you don't know who owns them, I would never to any kind of financial transactions or anything that requires inputting a password of any sort). I don't think I'd ever get a tattoo for myself (simply doesn't interest me), but if I were in BC and had to get one, I'd probably go here. 13/30
