One of the most spacious bars I have come across in this Capitello/Canazei areas but just a bit off the beaten track with a few minutes walk to the main street. Underground like most bars. Good beer and food. Music is the only slight negative in this bar. The owner fancies himself as a bit of a guru and so if he doesn't like it it doesn't get played. Requests are not an option. When he heard we were Irish all the stereo typicial stuff came on over the speakers. U2, Cranberries etc. Smoking area is at the bottom of the entry steps and again at the top. Toilets are only one cubicle each gender so don't leave it too late!

Tried 4 different paninis: Alla Contadina (speck and cheese), Diavolo (spicy salami, pepperocinis, and cream cheese), pastrami, and Norvegan (salmon). All on toasty bread and very filling. Large assortment of tasty drinks. For gin and tonics, about a half dozen choices for gin and half dozen quality tonics, including fever tree. You can get a Gordon's Gin (€4.20) w/ Schweppes tonic (€2.90), but my favorite was the Gin Sabatini Italiano (€8) with either Fever Tree Aromatic or Fever Tree Aromatic (€4). The waitresses and bartenders are really friendly and fun. They also have a wide variety of hot drinks - the eggnog one is really popular, and so are the Schnapps/ grappa drinks - tried the one with pear, sour apricot and peach. And they were all really good, and pretty presentation with big chunk of fruit. Totally recommend!

Irish girls working behind the bar so it was nearly like having an Irish bar in the village. Small on entry but gets bigger as you go through it. Great music and they don't mind requests from they memory back of the computer behind the bar. Top tip: Place is covered in UV lights (check out the angels in the mens toilets) but make sure you wear nothing dark as you will look like you have a severe case of dandruff!) Only down side to this bar is no Sky sports otherwise we wouldn't have left the place. Smoking area either at the porch at the bottom of the steps or at the top of the steps where there is a covered picnic table. Also has a free fuzz ball table or a one of the guys called it "tiny toes" table. Good times and will be back.

The decor also reflects the owners and the heritage (Chinese placements and wall hangings in a German pub doesn't really work for me). At least it was open lateish (9pm on a Tues night) and the food was ok (nothing to write home about) but sustaining. It has a mix of German and Chinese food (I had the German stuff but wondered whether I should have chosen the Chinese). Cost for 4 people was EUR60.

Live DJ, small stage/counter with pole for the usual fun and drunken antics. Great crowd. Free Wifi. Small car park. All the usual cocktails, shots and beers to fuel your Apres Ski party time. Kind of hidden off the main road but ask anybody and they will help with directions.
