Don't ask for the vegetables as a side. This is what I got 3 brussel sprouts cut in half.

The service was extremely slow, I knew it was going to take a while when I looked around and of the 8 tables occupied only 1 had food. The flavor of the food was ok nothing overwhelming. The portions were a bit on the small side. I will definitely not recommend the place.

Cool spot at first glance and surprisingly had solid ratings on google. It's clean inside and the Mercantile attached is neat! The food was mediocre, at very best... Pho boy was just gross! Coleslaw was just lettuce bits. Everything fried in dirty oil.

Great service, delicious food and a fun atmosphere. We enjoyed their margaritas, blackened salmon, street tacos, and salad bar.

We walked in and immediately noticed the mercantile next to it, the decor, and the historical building feel.

Texas Reds Steakhouse - 10 oz ribeye

I will show mad love to Texas Reds Steakhouse because this is what we have been wanting since we…read morearrived in New Mexico!! Flavor, seasoning and something other than Mexican food! lol. Don't get me wrong, we love Mexican food, but nothing can beat our TexMex! Beware they are open 7 days a week for the holidays until 5 Jan. They open at 4:30. When you come in, it's beautifully decorated for Christmas! They have a fire burning where you can wait and not definitely had a rustic feel to it! They sat us next to the fire which was really nice for it being cold outside. Our server was very attentive, nice and knowledgeable. The menus were pretty spiffy too as it looked like an old newspaper clipping! They had a variety of steak and also had different animal options like elk & bison. The prices were a bit steep but given the quality and how well they executed the meal, I would say it was well worth it! You are offered a pretzel like bread with butter while ordering. Our waiter was on it and he continued to fill our drinks before we could even ask for more! What we ordered: - Bison ribeye (medium+): this was a gem! If you've never had bison before, don't get scared! It tastes just like cow only it's better for you! The cook was perfection and the seasoning on point! My 13 year old ordered it and devoured it! He had initially asked for A1 sauce but because it was flavored so well, opted not to use it. He said it was one of the best steaks he has ever had! - Ground Elks (medium) w/ chile and grilled onions: it comes dry but our waiter suggested adding green chile and onions to it (beware that's an $11 up charge). It was flavored well, cooked well and tasted amazing. My husband never had elk and said it was really good. Tasted just like ground beef with just a hint of something different. - 12 oz New York sirloin (medium): cooked to perfection, seasoned perfectly and topped it with a garlic/butter compound. My daughter, who rarely eats anything more than a 3oz, ate more than half because she liked it that much. - 10oz ribeye (medium): cooked and flavored to perfection again!! On top of that, it was so tender and melted like butter in my mouth! It was so smooth, and just an amazing quality I hadn't had in such a long time. While ribeye comes fatty, this was utter perfection! I typically only eat about 4-5 oz, but ate the entire thing! If we decide to come back to this area, we will definitely stop here! If you want a good steak, go here!!!

Quite an underwhelming restaurant that charges more than the other surrounding spots. The interior…read morelooked cool and they had a live guitar player to match the vibes. The service was kind of bad where our waitress was not very helpful and all of the steaks in the table were temps below warm. The steak I had was a bit undercooked and was the coldest of them all. The butter on top did not even come close to melting. We sent our steak back to the kitchen to get reheated, which is something I never do. The reheated steak was just a bit better, and they forget to add the butter in it. At this point we should have just had a brand new steak. The added quail on the plate was a bit overcooked. I highly recommend going elsewhere on this street that did not disappoint this badly.

At an elevation of 8650 this no frills rustic mountain restaurant is located in Cuchara Village. Inside, license plates decorate the walls and there are tables & chairs for seating. Note, parking is limited. Service was great... very friendly. We arrived for lunch on a weekday during the holiday season & there was no wait. I had the Alpine Burger & substituted a side salad for fries. Burgers are 1/2 pound grass fed beef patties. My burger came with melted Swiss cheese, grilled mushrooms, onions, lettuce, tomato & pickles. Not only was my burger big, it was cooked perfectly & delicious. The grilled mushrooms & melted cheese were yummy too. The side salad was plain but good, it also was a big portion, however it was served on a too small of a plate, making it difficult to mix the salad dressing in. This was a great meal & I'm looking forward to returning again.

We really only wanted a margarita but decided to try the BBQ Nachos. Just say yes please. They should rename them to be Dog Bar Poutine. It starts with crispy fries. Then add queso. Then pile on some slaw. Then pork burnt ends and top with BBQ sauce. You eat it with a fork. So delish. They also had really good looking pizzas, burgers and other stuff. Beers on tap. The margaritas were also good. Get the cucumber jalapeño margarita. It has cucumber tequila from 21 Seeds, a women owned distillery in Mexico.
