The female bouncer would not let me in on the basis my light brown "swim" cargo shorts were against the dress code. I was with 3 other of my queers relatives and it was blatant homophobic and transphobic behavior. She said "swimwear is not allowed" and I replied "name one time I've ever swam in these shorts..." Needless to say never enter this strip mall busted down honky tonk bar located directly to the right of the little Caesar's. I would give this "establishment" 0 stars if I could I've never seen Florida so unprofessional and discriminatory in my life... and that's saying something.

It's funny saying this, but you really pick up on some southern hospitality while visiting here in central Florida. It seems the reviews between google and Yelp are night and day difference. My guess why reviews on google are a lot better for this place is because older crowd tends to use google over Yelp. Which, would explain why few reviews on here too. Most of their patrons are older. This country club pretty much does everything right. The only thing I can complain is not being a mechanical bull. Their prices are fair. Staff are super welcoming for a club with a lot of regulars. They have various line dancing classes through the week. Even weekly classes for beginners. Lots of pool tables. Very spacious. And, most importantly, they play country music pretty much all the time. So, grab your boots and your friends. Would recommend coming here for anyone visiting or in the area that likes country music.

Let me start off by saying I am NOT a country fan I went to the stockyard to try something new with some coworkers. If you're into country line dancing, this is your hot spot. We went on a Friday night because Josh Gracin was playing. I was told by frequent flyers that the night to go is SATURDAY. If you're looking for a little more life to your party, Saturdays are for you. Drinks were very well priced and far from stingy on the liquor paid about $10 for a signature cocktail and then a vodka soda. Concert ticket was $17 but I heard cover is usually $10 but free after 9. Always call to double check just in case there's an event & you have to pay. Parking is vast because it's within a strip mall. From the outside, it's an eye sore. But on the inside, it is MASSIVE and remodeled. The description is a bit misleading....it says 'dance club' but it should say line Dancing club. The dance floor is huge but it isn't for those looking to get down to their favorite song. It is full of only line dancers. I must stay: it was fun learning a line dance.

I went to Stockyard Friday night for a concert and had a great time. Located in a plaza there is plenty of parking. We got tickets ahead of time that were $15 and reasonably priced. We arrived a little early to grab some drinks. The drink prices were decent too, like less than $7 for a whiteclaw. The dancing was great to observe and they have classes too for those wanting to learn. The concert was awesome and the artist they brought was super talented. He even brought a special guest star on stage. The place was super clean and everyone friendly. My only note was the sound system was a little off so it was hard to hear when the artist was talking. Overall I had a great night and enjoyed Stockyard!

How is the parking? Does it seem safe from being jacked or wrecked if you have a nicer car?

Don't worry, it is a HUGE open, well lit, parking lot WITH SECURITY your grandma can walk around on her walker with a handful of cash on her, and the only one that would walk up to her, is to hand her back the cash that she dropped!!!… Read more

Friendly staff, strong drinks, zero attitude. It's one of those rare bars where you can come as you are -- whether you're meeting friends, people-watching from the iconic front window, or hanging on the patio (the new pool table is a fun addition ). It has roots as a longtime LGBTQ+ favorite, but today it's simply a welcoming, everyone's-invited kind of vibe. Locals love it for a reason. If you haven't been in a while, it's worth rediscovering.

Not my vibes, but it could be yours…read more I'm trying to find some place to dance, that isn't filled with young people or start dancing too late. I was really hopeful that this would be the place, but it's not. We were here from about 8 PM to 9:45 PM on a Saturday. The back patio was very busy with live music that was quite good. So if I was looking for a relaxing place to listen to live music, then this would be it. They have a food truck, they do allow smoking in the back patio, which is not my favorite, but it didn't seem like many people are doing it so I think you can avoid it if you want to. I was really hoping that there would be more dancing inside, we kept going back into check if there was anyone dancing. For the longest time there wasn't actually even anyone inside except for a few people at the bar. At around 9:40 PM, there were a couple women that started dancing, the problem was I didn't like any of the music that the DJ was playing. I didn't recognize it at all. I don't think it was new music, but it was older music that I didn't recognize. We ended up making a pivot and driving to Nash Keys, which is 10 minutes away and they have dueling pianos on Saturdays. I was disappointed that I didn't know the music, because even if there was only a few people dancing I still would've danced, but being that I wasn't a fan of the music there really wasn't any point to do it. So maybe if we had stayed later there would be more dancing, but a combination of no dancing plus not knowing the music we did not want to stick around. Again, the back patio with live music was quite nice, different vibes so it depends what you want. I probably won't come back unless it's well after 10 PM.

A mix of individuals, some older people (including one man who looked like a ghoul [trench coat, white hair, pocket wayxh]). Nothing wrong with this, in fact quite interesting, until we saw some soldiers (who appeared to be legit Castle security) walk past us, including one in an SS Nazi uniform. The frat men continued to multiply, and were very loud and obnoxious. In the back was some sort of BDSM spanking exhibit with a man in a furry costume doing the spanking. We stood close to this exhibit as loud "industrial noise" music played. I would akin this music to a spoon banging against a pot. There was a man who appeared to clearly be fent folding amidst the dance floor who proceeded to catch a random girl's twerk... And stared at us with beady eyes. Before going downstairs, I accidentally bumped into someone and he hissed at me, which was interesting. Okay guys, stick with me, we're getting to the best part. After all of these events, we go downstairs to the basement (or dungeon). Pleasurably, they were not playing industrial noise. Actual songs with lyrics! Yay. Early 2000s alternative. The dungeon had a bunk bed sort of set up where many different individuals seemed to be having a sensory break, other than the frat boys who were posing on top of it and flipping off of it. As we continued our observations, we noted two older gay men dressed as a cop and a prisoner. One laid down and the other began dancing right in front of him, akin to some sort of ritual. We soon after spotted a shirtless Marshmello across the room, which was quite exciting. Lots of shirtless men parading around, some with the leashes of their skinny asian girlfriends in hand. Before leaving, we finished up our people watching by observing Lisa from Genshin Impact, Sasuke & Sakura from Naruto, and Inosuke from Demon Slayer enter in highly realistic cosplays. In our state, we could not rationalize that these people were not actually from the show as the DJ conveniently decided to play anime OSTs as they entered. We also believe we spotted Shadow the Hedgehog. Not sure of this. Final note-- the people who would come in and greet each other by dancing at each other. Very interesting and something we had never seen before. It was like witnessing a different reality. To sum up The Castle experience, this is like a place a parent would have a nightmare of their child coming to. Would return!

We used…read moreto be regulars until the last visit, unfortunately the last visit made us all feel like we shouldn't come back for a while. Food- The drinks are pricey, they are pricey anywhere but it the prices vary on which bartender you go to. Service- Upon arrival, the price for entry depends on the night. Sometimes it is $20 to get in and on special nights (Halloween) it is like $50 (ridiculous lmao). It also varies if you're under 21 as well (it's a couple more bucks to get in underage). If you're 21+ you get a wrist band but if you're under 21, you get the black Xs on your hands. The staff is nice except the bouncer, he was kinda rude to my Fiancé. Ambience- The place is beautiful, it fully covers the dark ambience for our alternative peeps. The lights, the seating and decor. It's perfect, it's the best part of the club if anything. The reason I have not been able to come back is due to the amount of frat boys that come in and make it uncomfortable. My last visit, I went with my fiancé and his buddies so they could enjoy a night since they traveled down from South Carolina. The moment my fiancé left my side to grab us drinks, a guy came in started talking to me and asked me if that was my fiancé. It was ok until he started asking me for my number and I told him no MULTIPLE TIMES. I have a fiancé and I'm not interested. It took until my fiancé returned to have him get up and leave me alone. There was a staff member near by and I usually remember them to be very observant (had a similar situation where they came up and made sure I was ok) I obviously was uncomfortable so I thought it would bring attention that I needed help. I also noticed that the people with Xs on their hands seem to be more drunk than I was. We hope to come back eventually but for now we will stay away.
