Little did I know this would become my last dine-in restaurant meal pre-COVID-19 quarantine! Actually, we did kind of suspect. We were on our way to the airport to go back to the US, which was way further along in its viral progression.
Anyway - not a bad final meal! I'm not complaining! Our shared squid/pork bento was cheap but plenty big for both of us, and came with kimchi, fishcakes, and bean sprouts on the side. I thought the kimchi was a little too sauced for my taste, but loved the fishcakes.
As for the stirfry, the pork slices were almost like bacon, and the squid, while a little tough, was particularly flavorful.
As with everywhere else in NZ, no one blinked an eye or judged us for wanting to take up a table and just split one meal. read more
