I told her I would work with Louis and make it work with him, but ideally I wanted a morning shift, not the afternoon shift. She agreed to put me on the waiting list. Today, I got an absolutely rude call from a guy who said it wasn't going to work out, then lied about what how the conversations went. I tried to explain all the things I tried to offer; two meals, snacks, simple food; cleaning up after Louis (which he is supposed to do) and he kept cutting me off and told me it wasn't a good fit. Unbelievable. They didn't even try to make this work, simply serving two people a couple of meals a week. Rude, unprofessional, almost downright mean.

They recommend that we call Jake. We figured if the DMACC culinary school was recommending him he must be good. He came to the home and was very well prepared. He cooked an amazing meal that was loved by everyone. He was very personable, carried on great conversations when we spoke with him, and conducted himself very professionally. I ordered online and the food was delivered Monday. Delivery was super easy, the delivery person texted me and let me know when they would be there. Also could have left a cooler out for no hassle. The food is amazing so far! The first thing I tried was the Peanut Crunch Noodle Bowl. I am not vegan, and you forget how filling vegan food is! One serving easily turned into two for me, and it was absolutely delicious, I was scraping the sauce out of the bowl with a spatula. I will absolutely be purchasing again! Hubby is a carnivore who will only reluctantly and occasionally eat kale so appreciate that I can get a single serving (but generous) size salad. Had the rainbow kale salad last night and it was yummy! I look forward to seeing what the offerings will be each Tuesday and don't mind driving from WDM to pick up my order the following Monday. I've also enjoyed offerings from Cottagescapes Bakery (funny my husband will eat the scones!). Madeline is passionate about her business and appreciates her customers so I am happy to support another small business, especially one that prepares such good vegan food!
