I'm not sure what I was expecting when I decided to start our day drinking here. I was actually a…read morebit surprised to find them open before 2 on a Tuesday. There was no one else there, but the bartender happily hopped up to get us some drinks. They had a bunch of liquor and canned beverages. Nothing on tap (I don't think they even had a soda gun.) My husband and our friend got a beer and I got a cider. Everything was wide open with plenty of outdoor activities like volley ball, corn hole, connect four, etc. Plenty of outdoor seating. And it looks like they encourage you do write all over everything. It was a beautiful day and the vibe hear was very chill and awesome. I was a little disappointed that this wasn't on the beach. Not even a beach view. We don't go to the North side of the island very much, but I would come here again if I was in the area.

He Said: A bar on this side of the island? Yes please. This is a great spot where you can sit at…read morethe bar, sit at some tables, or sit with your toes in the sand. Good selection of beers and I'm pretty sure they had liquors. We're staying nearer by next time to take advantage of this great spot. She Said: We don't stay at this end of the island very often, but we'll need to remedy that going forward because Tiki Bar is a Topsail treasure. Now that I've found it, it'll be impossible to stay away when we visit family here! Potty Points: 3/5 - functional and clean for what it is. You're not here for luxury potties.

FYI...this bar is in the 1st tower. So if you're coming in from north (heading south) you'll have…read moreto go all the way to the last tower. We made the mistake of going to the wrong tower and were made to feel like we were committing a horrible sin by asking for directions. We came here about 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon. It was quite understandably empty....just us three and Dawn the bartender. Everything was pirate themed (shocking! lol)...the drink names, the menu items, they even had Pirates of the Caribbean playing on the TVs. (This is the entire reason I wanted to come here so I was tickled by all of this!) I had the One Eyed Willy (they were out of whipped cream!) and the coconut key lime martini. Both were pretty sweet but the menu included the ingredients so I knew what I was getting into. My friend really like her Calypso's Revenge and my husband drank beer. (They were all canned, nothing on draft.) I really wanted to try some of the funnier name drinks like the filthy pirate pecker wrecker but even though we were day drinking, I didn't think I was ready for that, HA! My friend and I got the grouper bites which were good but not worth the $18 we paid for them. There were maybe 6 small pieces of fish and the rest were heavy hushpuppies. The pirate sauce was a good though. Overall this was a fun bar and Dawn was an excellent and entertaining bartender!

We ordered from here (to go) our first night at St. Regis. Food was good, service was great (owner…read moreapologized for seeming to rush us but they had just seated a large party and he wanted to get our order to the kitchen first, which we appreciated). Food came out hot and was ready when he said it would be. Neat looking pirate stuff in the restaurant, but it was very hot inside (maybe AC wasn't working) so I was glad we got it to go.

Centerfire was a great relief from the typical bars and taverns that reside within this corner of…read moreNC. Locals will remember this location as the former Crooked Lotus, but is now a comfy, cozy adjustment into a well stocked cocktail bar. The staff is great (ask for Sara) and the menu is a simple, yet creative blend of simple favorites and original recipes. The ambience is a soft, warm setting with a random but fun mix of playlist music and live performances. Check the placard on stage for the schedule. The liquor selection isn't the world's biggest, but it is stocked with some good, above average choices that non-beginners will appreciate. There is also a good selection of wine, as well as some limited tap options (call ahead to confirm taps are flowing. Seasonal traffic impacts the flow). Whether it's a private affair, celebration of sorts, one-on-one meetings, or catching a breath after a long stretch, Centerfire is a must stop for anyone. The prices are reasonable and the quality stands above the local average of the area. Enjoy!

A variety of seating, bar, tables or couches. * Decent selection of holiday cocktails. * Variety of spirits to make what you would like. * bartender was helpful and cool. What could of been better: *Not sure what the vibe was supposed to be, brightly lit and very low background music. Almost seemed sterile. * Drinks were just ok, nothing stood out as impressive for a cocktail lounge.
