The tap selection is pretty decent and the staff are friendly and happy to help. Specialty drinks are not anything special to brag about but hey, it's not a typical expectation of a venue like this. The bar has two pool tables and a great little game section in the back. There is a great amount of seating within the place and it's outfitted with some extras (i.e. beer tubs, tiki bar, private lounging area) that can make those special occasions even more so. There is also a nice patio/smoking area outside if needed. The music is a hit or miss however. The live performances almost always satisfy, but when there isn't, the bar becomes similar to an early 2000's sweet 16. Outdated pop music and radio ruined rap tends to linger and the DJ's often CANNOT read a room to change it. You almost wish the jukebox was available for the crowd to keep control. All in all, if you need somewhere to kick back, get out of the house (or bricks room) then give the Hawg a chance. Just don't get the hopes up. It's a pleasant visit for anyone at least once.
