Michele was patient, kind, sensible, and she listened to everything I said in a way that really made me feel heard and understood. She didn't just want to clean up my financial life - she wanted me to feel like I could be in control of my own finances - sustainably - and work towards goals I cared about. I thought she'd try to steer me away from spending money on travel, since it's not really a necessity, but she saw that it was important to me and worked with me to incorporate it into my financial plan. She really changed the way I think about money - I can honestly say I'm not afraid of dealing with it anymore. Michele was encouraging, creative, empathic, and obviously super f---ing smart. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Buying insurance is never a fun thing to do, it takes time, research and is an important decision…read more When you need it, you really need to trust the provider. Some recent changes in my life required that I obtain life insurance. I had been buying auto insurance for the past 15-20 years so I wasn't necessarily looking forward to the experience. I came to WMD from a friends recommendation. I knew I needed help as life insurance was unknown territory to me and my friend had told me about his experience here. I made it to their office on Vermont during my lunch break. Dany greeted me and gave me a fresh cup of coffee. I explained my needs and also added my own sense of displeasure with the thought of having to purchase another insurance policy. She assured me that it wouldn't be as painful as I imagined and also took the time to explain why WMD was a more preferably route for this than other providers (notably those online). Cost was a big factor to me, but I also wanted to leave confident that I had picked the best policy and provider. Dany really knows her stuff when it comes to the insurance markets. I worked in this industry for a year or two so I came in with a little bit of knowledge, but she is truly an expert. I left extremely satisfied and I've mentioned Dany/WMD to a number of my colleagues and family members. While I thanked Dany numerous times, I also wanted to share this experience here on Yelp. While not a popular/trendy restuarant, having an insurance expert in your corner is inifnitely more helpful than that meal you just overpaid for - so here it is, my first insurance review. Thank you - I'll be back! PS: loved the office decor & refreshments :)

I stayed and paid a premium for the great customer service. After the change in ownership, the communication, responsiveness and knowledge was horrendous. Call backs were inconsistent to nil. I had a recent rate increase of 16% with no claims or DMV points for any of my 3 drivers. They were not able to provide details for the increase. The explanation was, "It's a state wide increase and corporate can't give us details." Why am I paying an agent when they can't help me?!?! This agency is an acting postmaster. After numerous attempts to allow Carlos and team to rectify with no resolve. I am voting by walking away and switching agents!!!
