My dog and I are so lucky to have found the Speed Walking Dog. I needed a reliable dog walker after I transitioned back from remote work during COVID, to in-personal again a few years ago. Because my dog, Scout, was a true COVID puppy, she was nervous around strangers -- both human and canine -- making it hard to put her in daycare. A neighbor recommended Lisa, and I'm so grateful she did. Lisa was so patient with Scout, who at first would literally hide under the couch when she'd come to walk her. Finally, after a few weeks and probably dozens of treats, Scout not only learned to trust Lisa -- she absolutely fell in love! Over the years, Lisa's employee, Halle, has taken over Scout's walks and it's been the same. Scout gets so excited whenever Halle comes to walk her, and the extra socializing has really brought my little girl out of her shell. And on the occasional day that I have to work late, Halle will bend over backwards to fit me into her schedule for an additional walk. It give me peace of mind to know that if I can't be there with my pup, she has the next best thing. I've recently also started using Lisa for overnight dog sitting, and it's been a life-saver. It's really something to see Scout change from being sad and anxious at the sight of my suitcase being packed, to being absolutely ecstatic when she realizes we're at Lisa's house. Lisa has a love-bug of a golden who makes for the best playmate (even for scout who's only 13lbs), and the three of them have a ball. I wanted to pop online to give a little bit of praise, and a whole lot of thanks, to Lisa! With some recent changes in my life, I am sporadically out of town for stretches of time and was in need of some help caring for my (problem child) cat. I had previously seen Lisa, though never met her, as she took care of my neighbor's dog. I remembered thinking that she was so great with the dog, that you'd never know it wasn't her own dog. Then when I inquired with my neighbors, they had such amazing things to say about Lisa, so, I gave it a shot. I got lucky with this find! When Lisa pops over, she feeds Fred, cleans his box, daily, and hangs at the house so that he has some life around him for a bit everyday. Fred has several personalities, and none of them deter Lisa. (She is even willing to don hip boots for the times he is feeling his inner Freddy Krueger.) One thing that I love about Lisa is that when she comes to the house, I get a daily text with an update for the day letting me know that he is good for the day, and even a little bit of the 'play by play' that she went through with him! Lisa is a dog walker who TRULY cares about animals. She walked my dog Felix everyday for 2 weeks while we were away. Each night I got text updates and pics of him. She really bonded with him and there were even days she was able to come and give him an extra no-charge bonus walk! My upstairs neighbors commented to me after about how professional she was. After we returned, Felix sat at the door waiting for Lisa to come take him out- he was probably sad to see us come home! I wanted to update my review of Lisa and her company from three years ago. Recently, I adopted a rescue from Mexico. I needed help with her walks because routine is so important. Lisa and Poppy bonded right away! Lisa not only walks her, she helps continue her training. Poppy is well exercised and tired when Lisa brings her home. Lisa has an amazing ability to connect with animals right away. She treats them as if they are her own. She loves them, cares for them and the dogs are always so happy to see her...that says it all right there! I've also had the pleasure of using one of the guys that works for Lisa, Mike. He takes care of my cats when I'm out of town. Mike is unbelievable! He loves them, feeds them and sends me pictures everyday while I'm gone. Not only are my cats happy and love Mike, Mike leaves my place the way he found it! He's super respectful, very neat and clean, everything in the outside garbage every night.
