The 2 pools are good the small childrens pools great for younger children and the bigger pool is a good size. The slide is great for kids and adults but there is only the 1 slide. There are plenty of life guards which is great as tghey are always watching the pools. There is also a sauna and steam room at the side of the pool which once you have paid to swim you can use for free. The shower areas are good and close to the pool so you don't have to go far. Overall this is a great place for the family. There are plenty of other things to do there such as the gym and activity classes and the price for this is not too bad. The price for swimming is also a good price not too expensive.

For most people off-peak is the best option, it covers you for everyday at all times except 7-9 am and 4.30-7pm (approx). Big car park. The gym was refurbished last year and replaced with new equipment, has a two floors, very spacious. Big enough swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, tanning, massage, ladies extras e.g hair, beauty,creche etc. Esporta also has a large restaurant/bar area wtih service throughout the day up to 10pm, Funny thing though in the central service bar during the day, there are always lots of nice pastries and cakes on display! after a hard work out thats just temptation or Customer Retention may be!!

They've cut back on all the extras like cafes, saunas and swimming pools and focussed on the things that most people go to the gym for... cardio and weights. Because of this "no-frills" approach, they're able to offer membership for £16 a month. The gym is also open 24/7 (changing rooms are closed from midnight to 5am) meaning that whenever you fancy hitting the treadmills, you can drag your bum down there. Entry is through PIN controlled turnstiles. There are plenty of cardio machines and it's fun waving at the people in cars gawking at you as they drive past. There were a few poseurs cluttering up the free weights area... why do they go just to sit on the benches and not actually do anything?! It's the same at gyms everywhere. Could they not just make a mirrored room for them to sit in and admire themselves? The PIN system worked really well and I like the fact that it's on the toilets too (you'll be forced to remember your PIN if you're busting for a wee!). Padlocks for the lockers cost £3 but you can take your own. And for all the car drivers, watch that speed bump in the middle of the car park... we were going dead slow and still heard a scrape on the bottom of the car. Initial impressions are very good but I get the feeling that the cheap monthly fee is going to attract some characters!

Bannatyne Cookridge Leeds have given me a terrible service AVOID…read more I joined on a 1 month membership for £63. A lot of money for a young professional. The very first day of my membership it was closed due to a flood. I went back the next day to find the equipment I need on the bottom floor was out of bounds because of the flood, so I spent 30 mins there trying to make it work with little equipment and left unsatisfied with my workout. The entire remainder of the month, half the gym was closed with no access to proper weight machines and resistance kit. I rang in the mornings to save myself another wasted trip and was told each time it will be sorted by the end of this week. Never happened for the whole month. Eventually I had to join a different gym with working equipment. I asked for a refund and the "best they will do" is 50% off! Through no fault of my own the gym was inadequate for my needs, and they want to charge me £31.50 for a 30 minute visit. I even asked to speak to the regional manager Paul Axford and he said he won't be offering anything better and it was a generous offer. The cheek of it! Honestly just avoid this brand of gyms entirely!
