Adorable little place! I stopped in here while on a business trip. The owner was so friendly and recommended a few things to do while in town. I picked up a few items I could take in my carry on. I had another great visit at The Soap Lady today. Of course I shopped but Susan and Lisa provide much more than a shopping trip. When you go, it's like visiting friends. They are so casual and accommodating to everyone! Everyone chats and laughs together. I learned today that they can make a body spray out of ANY scent they sell. They don't put it on the shelf but they will make it while you are there. They have several sizes that will fit any need or budget. My favorite is the Pure Grace. Susan told me, "Start with one spritz". She was right. I put on one spritz this afternoon and I can still smell it 4 hours later ...and counting! It is staying with me like a perfume or oil would. Definitely worth it! I created a great gift basket for my MIL, with all her favorites! I can't wait to give it to her on her 75th birthday! If you haven't been, get going! When we walked in, felt immediately unwelcome. I picked up a soap to smell and was snapped at, in a very rude tone. I totally understand and respect the policy of not opening bottles to smell but customer service is lacking tremendously. This discovery was complete happenstance. I was on my way to Kindred Coffee when I ran into the owner of this lovely shop, and she immediately invited me in while opening the store. The owner is so sweet and social. She is very welcoming, informative, and proud of her work (as she should be). The inside is spacious and smells like happiness. She makes all the soaps, lotions, sugar scrubs, bath bombs, hand sanitizers... well, all bath/body products inside. She also sells locally made snacks, dog treats, and home decor. The fragrances can be custom made or designer fragrances duped. She offers samples, which is placed inside baskets throughout the store. There are samples inside the bathroom, like hand soap, sugar scrub, and lotion, so you can see if it works for you. I'm allergic to coconut, and she does not use coconut oil, as she hates the way it feels on the skin. This amplified the excitement I have to shop here. The scented lotion I bought last quite long on the skin. I washed my hands a couple of times and the scent lingered. Love it! I will continue to visit and make more purchases. read more

Susan, the owner, is a true gem. Not only does she speak to every customer as they enter the building, she also builds a rapport and friendship with customers as well. Her employee Lisa is also wonderful and so kind and genuine. These women make shopping an absolute pleasure and something I truly look forward to doing. Also, her prices are so reasonable for the excellent quality of ingredients she makes her products with. Also, the other artisans that have products at her store have truly beautiful and unique items! If she is low or out of an item she'll promptly make it for you and call you as soon as it's ready. I stopped by this morning while wandering around with my mom and found this little gem. This is quite possibly the cutest soap shop I've ever been to. The ladies there were so nice and kind and were an absolute pleasure to talk to. Everything smells amazing and I'll definitely be back on payday. They have samples of some of the soaps which smell and feel amazing! My dad loved the Cool Water sample so I definitely know where to go for Christmas presents. The prices were great as well. Love this place! I will never buy soap for a grocery store or target/walmart again! I bought some Christmas presents for family and couldn't get out without getting something for myself too! When I went in it was fairly crowded but that didn't stop the store workers from greeting me. They seemed to know most of the customers in there which is very comforting. I found a onsie that I liked but they didn't have the size I needed. They let me order one in the correct size on the spot! They had great customer service and I will definitely be back for more!
