I would warn folks that it is very tight navigating in places-- I am petite and still felt a little claustrophobic. A lot of that is likely the crowds on sale day, but isles are narrow and there are a few places where you can get "trapped" if other customers don't see you standing behind. I absolutely love stationary, and this place scratched my letter-writing itch. I ended up picking out a couple of sets of cards + envelopes to add to my collection. These are BEAUTIFUL and well made. Prices were reasonable, and the clearance items were an absolute steal. The staff were super friendly and attentive and they seemed to be doing a good job keeping everything in order even though there were a lot of people here.

Guardino is lovingly curated, with a flair for dramatic and whimsical pieces that are absolutely delightful. Some of my favorite artists have shown their work here, like Stephanie Brockway, Tamae Frame, and Jay Perry. The front portion of the gallery is dedicated to the one or two artists being featured that month, while the remaining portion of the gallery on the west side and rear house pieces by a collective of what I assume are local artists. You'll find handmade jewelry, small artifacts and gift items, as well as large statement pieces like sculptures and totems. I could spend hours taking in the sights, dreaming, and falling in love with the art found here. Guardino is a special place.

Of course, on any given visit, there would be different local artist's works exhibited, and there's no guarantee that some or any works would appeal to me (or to anyone, on any given day. Art is so subjective, and the featured artists here change regularly). I was just lucky that I loved so many pieces of art when I visited. There are many things I loved about this gallery: they showcase a wide range of artistic works, from photographs to paintings to sculptures to glassworks to artisan hand-made jewelry and more. All the artists are local. All the art pieces are for sale. There is a huge range of prices for the works, so there really is something for any budget. (Note: when I was there, there were postcards and small prints with the featured photographer's works on them, and these were super reasonably priced). And best of all, you can often chat with the artists who are there! I loved the fact that the featured jewelry maker was there, and she talked about her inspirations and her artistic process. It was fascinating (and she was super talented - and nice to boot!). I love supporting local businesses and local artisans and artists, and this gallery checks all the boxes.
