Koegel, you have been scammed by Miss Laura C. from The Sleep Shoppe in North Carolina. Too bad she didn't think about how important timing is. She is the one who made contact with me after a long stretch of time by having her "business manager" leave a message on my phone, occurring while I was on a trip. We all had a laugh. I kindly ask that you find this lady some help for spending over a year searching me out and watching my Yelp activity, attempting to have other business owners join her in "bringing me down." I have spent no time on this lady but if she wants my time, so be it. To me, she is just a poor shop owner selling damaged goods, one of which I made the mistake of choosing her online store to purchase from in 2012. I have been busy since then, obviously, she has not been, other than in searching me out because she could not take the truth and obviously still cannot. She also wrote a derogatory note on Yelp, only to have since taken it down -on Yelp anyway- and replaced it with a pathetic gesture while leaving my name intact, that means absolutely nothing at this point and will not help her case. I suggest to you and your client that you both not continue harassing me because I will sue, I have no qualms. I am not going to remove my posts. She should run an honest/quality business; obviously, I am not the only person dissatisfied or her 4 & 5 star rating would drown mine out. 5+ STAR EXPERIENCE! I had actually been all over looking for a mattress for months. My parents, my aunt, and a couple other family members had recommended The Sleep Shop because of such wonderful customer service, and PRICES! The first day I visited The Sleep Shop, I knew that's where I wanted to buy my mattress! Candice was such a pleasant help, seeing as we had the same view on soft mattresses. She actually walked me around to test out a few mattresses and then made her way back to a closeout mattress which was just what I was looking for! I fell in love, didn't have the money at the time, so she offered to hold it for me and I came back the next Monday to make my purchase! However, I had always been wanting a couple really nice pillows, and Candice had mentioned they were going to go on sale by the Monday I came to purchase my mattress. $79 pillows, half-price! I was able to get two Latex pillows for the price of one! To top my experience off, as I was checking out that Monday I had just got $600 out of the bank to cover everything (even delivery!!which was a big help), and my total ran to be $618, my boyfriend had came with me and he actually had $10 in his pocket..still not totaling $618. Candice asked her manager, not hesitating at all if it was okay to let $8 go. Us on the other hand was not expecting that at all, and once again not hesitating, it was a done deal! No problem at all! FANTASTIC! My husband and I recently bought a bed frame from the sleep shop and was VERY pleased with the whole experience! My husband found this bed frame on-line and went a step further and called the sleep shop and asked this and that - after the call he was set that this was the one - customer service gal had answered everything that we wondered and was very pleasant! The only thing that was holding us back was the price - but - if this bed frame solved our problems the it would be well worth the extra money it cost. Upon arrival it was very easily assembled in minutes! nothing was damaged or lost : ) The bed frame did solve all our problems!! so well worth the extra money! I had read the reviews of this company and had to put in my two cent (for what its worth) While we had a pleasant experience not everyone will. Every once in a while you come across a person that rubbed you the wrong way and/or treated you wrong - but remember that it was a person and not the company - hopefully the company can make it right with you! Dont know what other buyers problem's were but I myself was truly pleased with my experience at both locations . Went to the location on 321A first and was treated with upmost respect . Tried a few mattress there and was told about the other store on 321 that had more choices . The young lady at this store was well knowledged on all the mattress they have and answered all our questions and we did NOT feel pressured at all . She even called her babysitter so she could stay open later . WHAT other store does this ??? We tried out several mattress and she even let us try diffrent pillows until we were satisified . We purchased a mattress and two pillows . I havent felt this rested in YEARS !!!! and my back dosent hurt anymore . Thank you Sleep Shop !!!! I ordered the Lazarbeam Bed Support - King Size. It was the answer to my prayers! I've had a platform bed for at least six years. It was ALWAYS drooping in the middle as the support and legs provided were weak. I have hardwood floors and my home is 60+ years old, so the floors are not level. I tried everything I could think of to reinforce and support my mattress, to no avail. So, when my bed was sagging and hurting my back I googled "Reinforce Platform Bed" and was thrilled to find the Lazarbeam Bed Support. I ordered it that night. It was delivered two days later. GOOD LOOKING OUT! I ordered 3 metal supports for my child's wood bed on a Thursday evening. Friday afternoon a lady from the store called and told me that the extra $56 dollars I paid for three day shipping would actually be slower than regular ground due to the fact that business is in North Carolina and I'm in Virginia. Not sure why (I guess that's another post for another day about the Postal Service), but it was nice that they acted in a fiduciary way and followed up on the matter. We needed conversion rails to turn our full size bed into a queen. The website was super helpful--telling us where and how to measure to make sure the rails we purchased were exactly what we needed. We received the rails in a timely fashion. My only tiny complaint was that the hooks for the hook-on rails were very difficult to get into our head and foot board. We spent a long time trying to get them in and "latched". I ended up googling for difficult hook-on rails, and we used a wax crayon to get them to hook on to the head and foot board easier. We needed a wooden replacement side rail for a Broyhill twin bed. And a google search led me to the Sleep Shop in NC. The web site was easy to navigate and provided a template to make sure the side pins were in the same place as on the original. Even though they were a no return item, I took a chance since the original furniture was manufactured in NC. I ordered them on a Saturday and they were delivered on Wednesday. My wife and I shopped around for a few weeks looking for a very firm mattress. We had almost skipped over the sleep shop thinking a small business would be too expensive but they were actually cheaper than our local mattress firm and sleepys. Purchased queen size wooden bed rails to replace the steel rails on our 40 year old Ethan Allen maple bed. We are very impressed with the quality of the hardwood laminate rails produced by the Sleep Shop. The brackets were a perfect fit. I purchased the headboard adapters after studying the drawings. I was able to adapt an antique full headboard to a modern bedframe. These adapters are very useful and can be used to adapt many configurations. The person who developed them knew what he was doing for sure. read more
