The staff were attentive and friendly. Drinks were delicious. We didn't grab a bite but the tables around us having a mile were enjoying theirs. If back in Derry, this will be a return stop.

Hubby & I split a platter, no longer on the menu, but offering a variety of Irish staple seafood & meats- everything was absolutely delicious- well seasoned, a great taste of Ireland mashed together Cocktails, we opted for the traditional Irish Whiskey, Irish Mule, Irish Old Fashioned- while at the time we weren't Whiskey drinkers-the high quality taste had us again changing our tune from 'just one' to 'another!' Would definitely recommend the bar- high quality drinks, delicious food, and fantastic vibe-well rounded spot.

Take a walk down the streets and you will see the wonderful murials the locals have painted. This is an IRISH part of town...Brits not welcome. The bars patrons are very friendly and will play a game of snooker with ya for sure! Great selection of whiskeys and beers. No food and there were kids in there (as most Irish pubs do), but just early...say before 7. Stop in and have a few if your ever up in N.E. Ireland! Oh, and the town is DERRY, not Londonderry and the Brits would prefer... Slainte!

As we explored the city and its rich and rocky history, we decided to visit the Bogside neighborhood and boy are we glad we walked into the Bogside Inn! The owner, Shane (sp?) and a good group of his friends occupied the stools and tables while the soccer match and horse races were on. They were so friendly and welcoming to us as we sipped on some delicious pints of Guinness (and some Jameson, too!). Most everyone in the bar took the time to come over and chat with us, ask us about our holiday in Ireland and tell us about Derry. They were a fun, cheery, and boisterous bunch! This was definitely one of our best nights in Ireland. If you're visiting Derry, Bogside Inn is a must!

Garlic bread is incredible though the "aioli" tasted like it was just mayo but the bread didn't need it at all. Goujons were good but the bbq sauce didn't taste bbq at all. The pepper sauce was nice though. Star here was the rotisserie chicken: fall off the bone and cooked perfectly. Again though, sauce was mid. Nothing on this menu needs a sauce (except Goujons) but they all come with them! Dishes def stand alone. All that said, the device made the meal!

I walked up the hill and there it was. Lot of people standing outside on the patio but no seats. I went in to the small bar on the lower level and a very friendly male bartender waited on me. I wandered upstairs to the second level where it was a huge space and had plenty of big screen TVs for the golf. I found the place to be very comfortable and great views of the water. The young guy at the second level bar was nice but a bit of an airhead (the drink was £11 and I handed him £20, he stood waiting for more money and ummmmmmm didn't I give you a 20? He seemed clueless about the money) We had a laugh but prob a good idea to know what the local money looks like! The top level of this place was an amazing view but it was Sunday afternoon and the bar was not open. Has more of a night feel. It's a fantastic building and I enjoyed my visit.
