Enjoyed sitting next to one of the locals (we are from PA) and listening to his stories. The bartender was very pleasant and she was attentive to our drinks. Most of the food is fried (which we knew going in) and is was cooked like I like it. Some locals, many families, and not real noisey. I'd go back.

A "The Hangout Bar and Drive Thru" attendant on Ayers Street is up to some shady business. I went…read moreinto the drive thru for 2 beers to go on 11/7/22 at around 4pm. The service wasn't the best. The attendant seemed distracted, but that wasn't the issue. I payed for 2 beers with a debit and didn't tip. I wasn't offered a receipt and was just told bye, but I thought nothing of it until I saw my account statement for that purchase. The female attendant had tipped herself $3 from my account. I describe her as short and heavy with a shade of blonde. It's not a huge amount, but it's stealing. I don't think the bar would be in on this scam, but it's best to pay with cash or watch the transaction closely when buying there. Also, insist on a receipt. I'm not removing this post until I get a chance to speak to the owner. I don't care about the money. They just should know.

I got the medium spice with lemon pepper, but was disappointed because they just topped the wings with lemon pepper. They didn't throw them together to where they mix. Then the other one I got teriyaki and it seems like they're just fried balloons through teriyaki sauce on them mix or cook them. We went when it was still happy hour pay three dollars for beer, which was a good buy I didn't realize it was the price of extra celery was 3.99 and that was more expensive than the french fries. They have a saying that they're the best wings in town, but I don't think so. The waitress was really nice and the manager actually turned the table touched which a lot of restaurant managers don't do anymore. I would avoid sitting in a booth because they are very uncomfortable. It's a cool place to watch sports and stuff, but I gotta be doing something right if it's always busy, but I would just avoid the wings in my opinion Would I go back again, yes but not for the wings.

Favorite classy bar, great wine selection…read more If I go out, which is rare in Corpus Christi I make sure to go here. This is my favorite Classy bar in Corpus Christi, Tx. It has sophistication, class and a unique touch of art that you will appreciate. They use to have couches/televisions in the back to lounge, but they recently removed them. It is now a dance floor and more room for tables which is understandable. They have an awesome wine closet with a great wine selection, from very cheap to very expensive. The bar is very small and cozy at the same time, just pull up and watch some tv. It's very dark inside how I like my bars, keeps it intimate feel. Their is no patio so you just have to go outside if your a smoker. If you go early enough you can grab some Sushi next door or Pizza and then kind of bar hop, about 3-4 bars in the near vicinity. If your looking for a classy/upscale bar to take a date, or a friend, check out Office Lounge 2 (t02), it wont disappoint. Very quiet and intimiate.
