Upon approach it gives you a 1800's western vibe as it's along train tracks and appears to be a period correct building. Many flags hang above the front of the building as you walk in. I came to find out someone stole an American flag and Thin Blue Line flag (Law enforcement support) in the recent weeks and that was a shame to hear. There is a fenced in smaller outdoor patio on the east side of the building. As you can imagine 9 non locals walking into a bar at 1130am could be met with stares or with hellos. We received many hellos and the bar staff was prompt to take our orders. A majority of us ordered a Bloody Mary and we're all glad we did. They were amazing with a spotted cow chaser. The space was completely remodeled with a modern western feel. It did not take away from the age of the building. The large horseshoe bar was comfortable and spacious. The first thing you see are the large brewing tanks where they make their signature beers. Then there is a collection of various tap heads. We arrived as they opened on a Saturday, so seating wasn't a problem. I decided to order the double smash burger with fries. The burger consists of two smashed beef patties, two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, garlic aioli, on a sciortino's brioche bun for $16.50. The order was out quickly. The burgers were cooked to perfection and nicely seasoned. The cheese was melted and ozzed down the sides. The lettuce, tomato, and red onion were fresh and added a crispness to the burger. The fries were crispy and lightly salted. I was able to sample 2 of their IPA beers to decide which one I wanted. The Punch IPA was hoppy with strong citrus notes. The Hazy IPA was not as hoppy and did not have citrus notes. The later was my personal favorite. I ended up getting a 6 pack to go. Just off 1-43, it is easy to get to and worth coming back to.

The chicken was fried crispy and doused with your typical Nashville hot sauce and topped with mayo and pickles. A solid bite. For the size of the bar, I was impressed with their bourbon selection and all were fairly priced. There were just a few people enjoying the live music - a duo singing classic tunes. They sounded fantastic! Given we are in the middle of a pandemic I was surprised they offered live music and relieved everyone was spaced out. It was my friend's birthday so they sang Happy Birthday along with everyone in the entire pub! I later found out that the singer was one of the owners. The woman at the table across the way was his wife and was the other owner. This husband and wife duo could not have been more gracious and hospitable. I noticed that there was an air purifier right next to our table which made me feel a little better. I wasn't sure I wanted to socialize quite as much as we were doing, but it was my friend's birthday so we kept our masks on and enjoyed a few songs before we headed out. Once the crazy virus gets under control, I would love to come back and stay at this dear little bed and breakfast situated in the heart of downtown on their main street. It would be perfect for a romantic get away, a girlfriend's weekend or a family vacation. I plan on enjoying their authentic little pub every night that I'm there. During warm weather they have a great outdoor patio in the back and offer live music out there.
