We were told immediately upon arrival that our departure would be in 1.5 hours. Knowing this place has a long quaint history we weren't expecting fancy, it wasn't. The carpet was so old and dirty there was a solid black traffic pattern of grease to every table. Many reviews mention 'musty' but the smell was definitely mildew, read on. Upon filling our water glasses we noticed the pitcher was stained yellow from rust--not sure if the water was same color, I didn't touch it. We were offered dinner bread that was pretty good. Prime Rib was on the menu special for Thursday so we both ordered the Queen cut portion with baked potato. Dinner came with soup or salad, tossed salad was nice and homemade dressing was good. Prime Rib came out medium rare to rare as requested and was okay but a little tough. Horseradish sauce was great. Although the dinner was as expected and good enough, during the meal I became very aware of the mildew smell and the subtle taste in my food. Dinner was $112 including the tip. Note price increase not on menu but posted at each table, 12 oz Filet listed $45 actually $54! Plus there is 2% charge for credit card. Local supper club had low expectations, we were not disappointed.

Upon approach it gives you a 1800's western vibe as it's along train tracks and appears to be a period correct building. Many flags hang above the front of the building as you walk in. I came to find out someone stole an American flag and Thin Blue Line flag (Law enforcement support) in the recent weeks and that was a shame to hear. There is a fenced in smaller outdoor patio on the east side of the building. As you can imagine 9 non locals walking into a bar at 1130am could be met with stares or with hellos. We received many hellos and the bar staff was prompt to take our orders. A majority of us ordered a Bloody Mary and we're all glad we did. They were amazing with a spotted cow chaser. The space was completely remodeled with a modern western feel. It did not take away from the age of the building. The large horseshoe bar was comfortable and spacious. The owner was very polite and we will surely be back!

The first thing you see are the large brewing tanks where they make their signature beers. Then there is a collection of various tap heads. We arrived as they opened on a Saturday, so seating wasn't a problem. I decided to order the double smash burger with fries. The burger consists of two smashed beef patties, two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, garlic aioli, on a sciortino's brioche bun for $16.50. The order was out quickly. The burgers were cooked to perfection and nicely seasoned. The cheese was melted and ozzed down the sides. The lettuce, tomato, and red onion were fresh and added a crispness to the burger. The fries were crispy and lightly salted. I was able to sample 2 of their IPA beers to decide which one I wanted. The Punch IPA was hoppy with strong citrus notes. The Hazy IPA was not as hoppy and did not have citrus notes. The later was my personal favorite. I ended up getting a 6 pack to go. Just off 1-43, it is easy to get to and worth coming back to.

I only have one visit under my belt and I have been torn on a review, but I am familiar with a…read moreregular that tells me my experience is pretty typical of their own experiences. So, very interesting building and space. There appears to be a fun patio area for the summer months and there's a big screen tv that I'm guessing shows sporting events. My review for atmosphere would be 4-5 stars. Unfortunately too much time doing nothing but waiting and looking around killed the visit. I was there on a Saturday at the noon hour. It was not exceptionally busy, especially for the space they have. We were just there to get a coffee and go. Should be in/out in a few minutes right? Wrong, there was one girl managing the counter and two guys visible in the back area. We waited a full 10 minutes at the counter while the girl took one order ahead of ours. I was getting the this is going to take forever vibe and would have left, but we weren't in a hurry and my wife wanted to try the coffee. So once our order was placed and paid for we proceeded to wait another 20 minutes for two drinks and a scone. In that time the counter girl certainly kept moving, although not with any deliberate speed. The two guys in the kitchen did not come out to help her at all and when delivering only two plates to tables did so at a snail's pace. The place really wasn't busy, but the staff they had struggled mightily to keep pace. This is similar to what my friend reports experiencing time and again. To give credit the counter person did apologize for the wait time to place our order and apologized again for the wait to receive our order. So the drinks (coffee and a chai) were average and the blueberry scone was on the dry side of mid. All in all, really nice atmosphere and decorations. Maybe a place to bring your own drink in, because you may not get one from them for awhile. Definitely not a good place to stop if you are in a rush to get somewhere else.
