We completed a major home renovation with beautiful new windows. I really was not sure what I was going to do with window coverings. I visited The Shade Store in Westport to get some ideas. My initial contact was with Margaret who explained the process of how the company works and then despite being busy she took the time to show me the various options including style, material and function. She suggested an in home consultation followed by an appointment for window measuring and finally a price quote that was emailed to me. Margaret guided me through the painless process, I never felt any pressure and I was given options depending on my budget. Loved that! The shades arrived within a week, Duane the nicest of installers was scheduled soon after. I just had the last of three window treatments installed by The Shade Store and I am so happy with how they have enhanced the look of our home! Each is a different style of treatment and I can't decide which I like best. The quality is exceptional and lifetime warranty can't be beat. I tried to browse the products after my in home measurements were expertly taken by a nice gentleman. Karen in the Westport CT store was too busy talking about high school with her "customers" to help. She also said that you can't come into the store right when they open because her colleague wasn't there yet and it takes a while to warm up??? You lose the customers the same way you make them one at a time. Karen you are useless and should look for a job in gossiping. read more

I received a beautiful, thick product catalog with lovely images and a follow-up email from the owner of the company. Upon contacting the company, I was provided with helpful advice and service by my knowledgeable sales professional Margaret C. After Margaret identified my interests and needs, she promptly sent me a sample kit containing 20 samples from which I selected a lovely 2" pleated shade for large windows in my living room and kitchen. She arranged for Peter R. to visit my home, measure, and install my shades when they arrived ten days later. Peter spent valuable time demonstrating how to work the top-down feature and explain how to tie cords safely to keep them away from children.
