Hello - the chips were crispy and salsa was good! The bake potato is SUPER yum - get it mixed - you won't regret it! Fish taco totally hit the spot. Hubby ordered fried fish burrito. Wow What a wonderful welcome from the staff. They made you feel like part of the family as soon as you walk in. This is a cute place where locals hang out and relax and enjoy the baja lifestyle. One of the reviewer stated that his hamburger was not so good here. Hahahahha, who the heck orders a hamburger!!!! HahHaha. Really? You come to this place to order the locally caught fish and shrimp. Which was delicious. The fish was cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside and soft and flaky on the inside with the perfect amount of salt. The shrimp cocktail was fresh and satisfying. The food was amazing. The ribeye was tender, juicy and had the most amazing flavor. The onions rings were probably some of the best we've ever had. They were crispy and the onion had a subtly sweet flavor. Just heaven. Absolutely recommend 10 out of 10. All of the staff is super friendly. Gus goes the extra mile to make sure you are absolutely happy with everything. If your not happy he want to know right away so he can make it right. However, our meal was perfect! The Shack is an awesome place to dine. The owner always makes you feel like you are entering his home. He his friendly and pleasant every time we go to the Shack. The food is great! My wife and I really like their caldo de res. Their tacos are wonderful as well. We have eaten at the Shack for weekend breakfast as well and the food was great. I've been here twice this visit and each time the meal was exceptional. The manager Gustavo, is charming and had remembered my name when I showed up the second time. The second time I brought Sandy Eddahbi who is responsible for the ladies lunch group and the USBC that goes out for dinner each month. She was so impressed that she wanted to switch this month's lunch from Las Rocas (she was having problems getting a response from Las Rocas) to there. Unfortunately she tried to do it on a Tuesday since The Shack is closed on Wednesday and there was a conflict with FRAO meeting. Hopefully she will be able to get a group together. This is the go to place for my wife and I when we don't want to cook. The food is consistently good and the service is excellent. It is only 5 minutes from our front door so it is very convenient. There are places that many people in our area frequent that are within a minute of The Shack in driving time, but for the price we like the Shack. The odder very good Steaks and seafood dishes. They have the best fish and chips I've eaten in Baja. There weekend specials are always fun and interesting. read more

I went there tonight with my mom and boyfriend and the food was good, it was a nice surprise to find a good restaurant close to Campo Lopez, our waiter made us feel like being at home. People at the campo talk about this place a lot so we finally came to try their food, They have TVs to watch sports and a bar. We ordered Chicken sandwich, sashimi and grilled fish tacos, all of them recommended. The only suggestion I'd give is to have a refill when people order juice, mine was mostly ice. read more

The manager, Gustavo, has a good staff and the food is always fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. It has 6+ TV's for a nice sports bar with a nice atmosphere. The service and hospitality from the employees is great, but the food on the other hand was not amazing. It was enjoyable but my burger was undercooked and the fajitas had quite a bit of grease left over. Gustavo, our server, was definitely a great server and very nice to all his customers. read more
