Was swimming in syrup and it was supposed to have ice cream but there was none. Not the worst and not the greatest.

The food looked gorgeous upon being served but I found the bingsoo to be lackluster. As someone who has had bingsoo multiple times, I found this bingsoo to be poorly shaven - the texture isn't as soft as many other bingsoos - and I found it to be missing the condensed milk throughout. The fruit flavors were great and I did enjoy the fruit as well. The egg waffle was lacking flavor, even for the original flavor. However it was well cooked, crispy-ish on the outside (a nice crust) and a soft and sponge-like inside !

We were so excited to see this here in Utah. The experience was not entirely a letdown but at $15…read morefor the sole dessert pictured: 1. We waited for over 20 minutes and there were at most 3 tables in the dessert area. In the 20 minutes before ours came out, they prepared 2 others -- so a total of 3 in that time period. Be prepared to wait...they share space and staff with the Malatang space next door, and they appeared to be moving slowly, understaffed and uninterested. 2. I waited patiently expecting to be blown away assuming they must have been spending the time meticulously preparing this dessert. I was wrong. It wasn't bad, but it was a few pieces of soft, delicious mochi along with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce atop a bowl of slushed ice, reminiscent of what I made out of my Snoopy snow cone machine as a kid and not the fresh, fluffy snow-like shaved ice one would expect with this order. Imagine hitting the slopes and skiing on ice-like granules instead of powdery snow. It's just not the same experience.

This Filipino restaurant serves up all the classic Filipino dishes that everyone loves. We tried out a variety of items including pork adobo, beef kalderata, lechon, lumpia, pancit, pork bbq sticks, and Paksiw na Pata. Everything was so delicious and flavorful! The *only* complaint I have is that the food on display doesn't have labels. For someone who isn't as familiar with the food, I had to ask what each item was and took note of them, but it definitely would have been more helpful to have some sort of reference. The owner was so sweet, she ran out of pancit (which is what I was really hoping for) and she went out of her way to make some for our table. The restaurant was well-kept and had plenty of seating room. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to try or enjoy Filipino food!

I know this is a landlord problem, but it wasn't a good first impression for a food vendor. Although my family always teases me that I smell things that they don't smell. So it could have been just a me thing, but I digress lol... We ordered 8 dishes. I wish I knew the names. I know there was a beef and onion dish and a beef stew type dish with root vegetables. Tender and both delicious. There was a pork dish with a coconut based stock which was my favorite. Chicken Adobo, a pork stir fry type dish and lastly a pork stew dish with blood in the sauce. Yes, you heard me right. If you like blood sausage this is right up your alley. Both of the pork dishes (stir fry and blood sauce) were a little too salty for me personally, but tasty otherwise. The lumpia was good and we had a side of rice and pancit. The pancit was just okay for me. The woman who helped us was awesome and very patient with us. Explaining all the dishes we had questions about. Overall a good experience. Glad to see multiple Filipino restaurants opening up around town.

On a side note, that's a bigger shame because there are some MAD GOOD eats in this part of the valley, so double shame on me. Better late than never? Yes, definitely. I stopped by the Latino Mall where this is located (listed separately on Yelp) and wandered in pre-dinner. I had a lot of eating left to do that evening, so I wanted to just try something that would whet my appetite, and wasn't too sweet. Enter: the cucumber and chili pepper popsicle. Paletas, or popsicles if you prefer, are an incredible thing. While we have mass-produced, glow-in-the-dark neon popsicles, some Latin American countries celebrate the paleta with real fruits, vegetables, care, and options upon options. The cucumber chili pepper was both spicy and refreshing, powerfully flavored but somehow quietly understated, and not overpowering in its sweetness. What's more, the paletas here are very inexpensive. Whereas you could run for a treat at an ice cream shop and spend close to $10 (or in the case of pay by the ounce froyo, you could spend your life savings by filling up a froyo bucket) this is really reasonable. I'm pretty sure I added a decent tip and and it still came to $1.67. I hardly feel qualified to give this a full, wide review having just had the one flavor. And they have ice cream as well, with lots of other pre-packaged treats available. What I'm saying is this, though: I waited over a year for a first visit. I won't wait nearly that long for the second one.
