It's in Beyoğlu and on a bit of a hill, so it has some of the best views of any hotel in the city. The hotel's Lights Bar & Restaurant on the top floor has glass walls and you can see a complete 360 degree of the dramatic Istanbul skyline. Wonderful place for cocktails at sunset or to watch the ships cruising on the water at sunset . Bosphorus view hotel rooms also have great views. One of my favorite things about this hotel is that even though it stands on its own and has great views, it's also within walking distance of so many sites in Istanbul and you can even get to to Taksim Square in about five minutes by foot. Surrounding the hotel on nearby streets there are also various markets and nice places to eat if you decide to venture out of the hotel. Beautiful pool as well.

Prior to choosing this hotel I requested proposals from multiple hotels in Istanbul, but what made this so special was the view of The Bosphorus. I want to thank Mustafa and Gozde for being great in presenting, proposing, and answering the countless questions that I had about this property before our arrival. The hotel exudes class, modern facilities, and something for all types of travelers. From the moment you arrive at the hotel you feel safe. There is a security checkpoint for all vehicles and a metal detector in the lobby for all visitors. This made my group feel safe and prior to my arrival 2 of the members of my group were thoroughly impressed with the hotel and thanked me for choosing it. Our first night there we dined at Madhus as a welcome dinner. It is an Indian fine dining gastronomic experience that set the tone of our stay. The food was delicious, the presentation was excellent, and the service was impeccable. We all enjoyed our meal there and when you stay at this hotel you must dine here. All of us enjoyed our respective rooms. Whether they were the Swiss Advantage Garden View Room or Swiss Bosphorus View the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The Purovel products in the bathroom were a good quality for a hotel. The housekeeping team kept our room clean and stocked upon request. We all had a great experience here. I would like to think that my group thought everything was amazing- the views of the Bosphorus, the hotel amenities, dining offerings from breakfast and fine dining at Madhus and 16 Roof were all excellent. From the lobby to the reception and concierge everything and everyone was delightful and extremely helpful. On behalf of my group, I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to return just so that I personally can use their tennis court.

The outdoor seats where everyone is always seated is a smoking zone. Eating with cigarettes just ruins the food overall and makes me nauseous. Our room's laundry was broken, no scissors available as well. Wild but still a beautiful place. Will likely come back here again if I come back in this area of Turkey! The Mandolin restaurant patio is the best place for breakfast and also to have drinks in the afternoon. The staff that work here are fantastic, and if you decide to leave the property for a meal, the neighborhood has many excellent restaurants just near by. Sultanahmet is one of the nicest hotels in the Four Seasons brand and it's the only hotel I stay in while visiting Istanbul. With its personalized service it feels like a small and elegant boutique hotel but with all the luxuries of a large hotel. Of course the building was re-purposed but the original architectural features remain and make this Four Seasons' seem more like an historical treasure than a hotel. The location can't be beat as its feet from Hagia Sophia and near The Blue Mosque and of course adjacent to Sultanahmet Square. From the balcony in the bedroom I had a beautiful and unobstructed view of Hagia Sophia and the living room offered a nice city view. The location is also near many restaurants and bakeries many of which some stay open late. The hotel has a full gym, beautiful lobby and courtyard, an excellent lounge as well as one of Istanbul's best restaurants. Housekeeping couldn't be better and rooms and suites are spacious and though I felt the hotel didn't even need a refurbish it received one. I know there is a choice of Four Seasons in Istanbul and some people might prefer the Bosphorus Hotel but for location and service it's hard to beat the Sultanahmet.

After arriving from the airport, the helpful bell staff whisked my bags away for me and I checked in quickly and easily with the friendly front desk staff. The bellman carried my bags to my room and gave me a quick overview, which was very helpful. The room was spotless and thoughtfully laid out. There was a nice desk which I used for work, a nice lounge chair, and comfortable bed with plenty of lights. There was a TV which I didn't turn on. The bathroom was huge, with a nice soaking tub and a freestanding shower. The toilet was in a nook off to the left and it came with a bidet sprayer on the side. The amenities were great...they didn't have a strong smell which I appreciated because some hotels have shampoos/soaps with such strong scents, it makes my eyes water. These were nice and subtle. I slept very well in the bed. The pillows were very comfortable (not too soft) and the room was dark and quiet at night. Staff everywhere were helpful and kind. I didn't have a chance to use amenities like the breakfast that was included in my rate, nor the gym or pool area but everything looked great. I want to come back just to use the pool! The location is terrific...just a few minutes walk to Taksim Square, where you can find plenty of restaurants as well as the Metro. Traffic is so crazy in Istanbul that you can often save time with the Metro...I live in New York so riding the subway here is like living in the lap of luxury. It's so clean and orderly and it doesn't smell! My room had a Bosphorus view, which costs extra but is worth it. I really enjoyed my stay here from the room, to the location to the excellent service. Turkey is a secular country but I feel it's getting more conservative in a religious way. The Art work on the lobby at the Sub Karaköy announces its secularism. The continental breakfast here is quite impressive but it's not fully ready until 8Am I almost took a star off for that. They have a roof top bar and the rooms are neat especially the sound system. The hotel is small, the lobby is the size of a small hip coffee shop, and is decorated as such. But that just adds to the charm. We love boutique hotels and have stayed in many throughout the world. This somewhat reminded us of a mini version of the Standard in NY. The Sub is now on our favorite list. The rooms were small as expected, but decorated cool and comfortable with all the amenities you'd expect. The thing that we enjoyed the most of our four night stay was the customer service. My wife and I traveled with our 3 year old, and from arrival the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. (Although we were the only guests we noted with a child, I'd still categorize the hotel as kid friendly because of the accommodating staff. They even offered us a baby crib in the room, which we didn't need or accept). Upon arrival the manager saw us pull up in a cab and ran across the street to help us with our bags. He proceeded to offer us tea when we walked into the lobby and sat down with us for about 20 minutes. He gave us a map, highlighting where we should visit and eating recommendations. That type of service was standard throughout our entire stay. The location was also a nice surprise. The Sub hotel isn't located in the middle of the touristy spots, but in a small neighborhood in the middle of many must-visit destinations. The "tram" was only a two minute walk and that got us everywhere we needed to be. Overall our stay was great and I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.

The lobby is opulent with high ceilings and a circular staircase with an elaborate cupola. Ipec who works at reception is fantastic and so efficient and nice. I have Hilton gold honors status and at this hotel that includes an incredible full buffet breakfast in the morning. Shout out to Selin who was so helpful and charming at breakfast reception, Gamte, and terrific servers Güllü, Fartif and Cihan who made me the best iced latte. You can pick your room in advance online on the Hilton app during check in and I picked the highest floor, which is the 14th floor. Flawless AC which is very much appreciated in the hot summer months. Rooms have huge picture windows (and the smaller windows open!) with incredible skyline views of Istanbul. The standard rooms are a bit on the small side, but absolutely gorgeous with lovely ceramic details and beautiful glass ottoman style lamp fixtures. Beds are large and super comfortable. The best part are the super bathrooms that have this incredible large shower with a seating area and three different faucets. One is like a fountain and will actually shower down your back! The toiletries are also excellent and everything is a very high standard. The pool is beautiful with a Jacuzzi and has full service and a bar. There are also tennis courts. There's also a really lovely Turkish restaurant and an Italian restaurant. It's really more like a city resort than just a hotel. The only problem with this hotel is you might not leave very often to go to town because it's so comfortable and relaxing. I honestly feel like I've been at a spa because of the beautiful gym, spa amd hammam at the hotel. They have a full-size hairdressing salon as well. One thing I really enjoyed about this hotel is that the clientele is extremely international so you really do feel like you're traveling in exotic Istanbul; it's not just full of people from a cruise or tour groups.
