One of the best hotels at Istanbul .. it's located at the central heart of Taksim ...u'll really enjoy staying at this hotel u won't feel bored every thing is near... the shopping coffees , restaurant as well as malls are near too, word can't explain this hotel the rooms are clean , staff are amazing well trained and welcoming u Special thanks to People who are at receptionist truly they're the best I had ever seen . Also not to forget the excellent facilities at this hotel they have restaurants plus the third which is at reception they have outside place to set and enjoying ur morning with a nice view

The Intercontinental Istanbul is conveniently situated within easy walking distance of Taksim Square. A short walk will get you to the metro, a ride on the funicular railway gets you to the tram stop at Kabatas, from where you can easily get into the old city. I stayed in a Junior suite overlooking the pool and the park. The room was large, had plenty of seating and cupboard space (3 double wardrobes), a spacious bathroom (although I think this was an accessible room) a second guest bathroom, in room safe (big enough to fit a couple of iPads and a 10 inch notebook) The spacious bathroom had a lighted shaving mirror, his and her's sinks, shower cubicle and a bath with shower and hand shower, in short extremely well appointed. Room service was electric, the ice bucket test took only a few minutes. The hotel has free wifi and I had no problems with connection or speed, all in all quite impressive. My only slight complaint would be the number of accessible electric points, there were a few behind the TV which I couldn't get to, so if I had to change one thing in the room it would be to install one of those hub/power banks to provide a bit more juice for today's ever burgeoning list of gadgets that we all travel with. The hotel was very clean throughout, service was of the highest standard, the club lounge has stunning views over The Bosphorous and provides an adequate breakfast. The hotel is nothing much to look at from the outside but has a beautiful spacious lobby, the front desk staff were efficient and polite. On the roof the 'City Lights' bar is well worth a visit although drinks are somewhat pricey. The outdoor pool is also very clean and seems to have adequate seating. Overall I was very impressed and pleased with my 3 night stay here. Would I visit this hotel again? Definitely yes.

Great location only few minutes away from İstiklal street and 17 minutes from Nişantaşı. Rooms are big so are the bathrooms.
This IHG property has the most amazing views! From the top you can see 2 continents...a panoramic view over the Bosphorus, Sultanahmet, the historic part of the city, and Taksim Square. It's in Beyoğlu and on a bit of a hill, so it has some of the best views of any hotel in the city. The hotel's Lights Bar & Restaurant on the top floor has glass walls and you can see a complete 360 degree of the dramatic Istanbul skyline. Wonderful place for cocktails at sunset or to watch the ships cruising on the water at sunset . Bosphorus view hotel rooms also have great views. One of my favorite things about this hotel is that even though it stands on its own and has great views, it's also within walking distance of so many sites in Istanbul and you can even get to to Taksim Square in about five minutes by foot. Surrounding the hotel on nearby streets there are also various markets and nice places to eat if you decide to venture out of the hotel. Beautiful pool as well. read more
We stayed at the InterContinental Istanbul for 1 night after a long travel day. Our flight was delayed by 5 1/2 hours, and after waiting for our luggage and driving about 40 minutes from IST Airport, we finally arrived at the hotel after 10:00 PM. Although it's a bit of a drive from the airport, we love staying at InterContinental properties, so we decided to give this one a try. I really appreciated that the hotel recognized our IHG Platinum Elite status and upgraded our room. The suite was spacious, clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, which was exactly what we needed after such a long day. The disappointment was the check-in process. Despite arriving late in the evening, it took about 20 minutes to check in. After an exhausting day of travel, a quick and efficient check-in would have been greatly appreciated. Another issue was the bathtub. I wanted to take a relaxing bath, but after closing the drain and turning on the faucet, there was barely any water in the tub even after 15 minutes. I'm not sure if the drain plug wasn't sealing properly or if it was simply due to the very weak water pressure from the bathtub faucet. Either way, I ended up taking a shower instead. I also requested a bathrobe. While it was clean, it was noticeably worn and had holes near the pockets, which wasn't what I expected from an InterContinental hotel. On a positive note, the lobby is beautiful, and the hotel overall has an elegant atmosphere. However, it does feel like an older property in some areas and could benefit from some updates and closer attention to details. Checkout the next morning at 8:00 AM was fast and efficient ~ they simply asked whether we had used the minibar, and we were on our way. We had a comfortable stay with excellent recognition of elite status and a great night's sleep. With a smoother check-in experience and a few maintenance and housekeeping improvements, this hotel could easily earn 5 stars. read more

Don't even attempt to book a Friday or Saturday night at this hotel. It's beside a night club which BLASTS music all night. You can hear it extremely loud to the top of the 16-18th floors. It goes on all night. You won't get any sleep. Staff is aware of the complaints and say "we'll look into it" but do nothing to address. Recommend a different location on weekends. read more

Breakfast was greater than our expectations. The concierge and reception team were beyond kind and caring and truly professional. Thank you ULUC, ONUR and MEHMET If I want to visit Istanbul again for sure I'll choose INTERCONTINENTAL hotel which is very close to any destination. read more

I'm a couple nights into my Intercontinental Istanbul stay and it has been really great so far. Here are a few of the highlights: * The service is impeccable; service staff are fast, the guys outside are great about giving directions and getting taxis, and the lounge staff is always on their game. * The hotel itself is beautiful and has great views of Istanbul and the Bosphorus. * They do a great job recognizing customer loyalty. As a Spire Ambassador who booked a Deluxe room I received a much appreciated club room upgrade. * The club lounge is great; although you have to specially ask for alcohol there - it's not sitting out like it is in some other lounges - there is plenty available, and the food offerings in the evening are basically dinner. Club access includes breakfast downstairs in the lobby, which has another great buffet plus ready-made omelettes. Definitely recommend this hotel. read more

Thanks to Irem and Barak, our stay was nothing short of perfect. The hotel consistently went out of their way to make sure our needs were always met. The Club Level was always stocked with lots of goodies, and we looked forward to coming here to kick back and relax after long days of city shennanegans. I can't wait to return to this amazing city, and when I do - it will be another stay at the Ceylan Intercontinental. Thanks for a great stay! read more
Istanbul is a really warm city, specially in the summer, when the temperature can reach 40 celsius degree. So, here you can take a day use for 30 dolars. In the day use, you are able to get the sauna, pool and others areas of the spa. The view is not great, but the hotel is exactly in the middle of the city, Taksim! So, if you have enough money to spend in a relax day, it could be great! read more

We stayed at the Intercontinental Istanbul for two days with a Uniworld River Cruise... rm 911( two twin beds). It was a nice room overlooking the Bosphorus. We had a three night extended stay past the tour date. We paid in December 2015($1224.35 which is $408.12/night) at the rate that was to save money if paid in full. The room was to be a deluxe(two twin beds) with view of the Bosphorus and breakfast for two daily. The front desk knew we had an extended stay and commented we would be happy with the room. On the day we were to move the porter came to help with the bags. He took us to a Suite... which was nice.. but only one bed, of which they said they could bring in a rollaway. We said this would not due.. we are two older women and we specifically ask for two twin beds. So we returned to room 911.. and then we were informed we had to move to room 912.. which had a smaller window and was at an angle to the view of the Bosphorus. I ask if we would get a refund or credit as the rooms w/breakfast were now renting for$144.00./ night. I was told no. Don't book early... don't pay in advance. Also ,FYI the breakfastwait staff do not speak English. What a rip off... read more
