I'd been to this place once before, maybe a decade ago, when I was nearby and needed a dinner…read morelocation that was cheaper than the ones at the hotels. I remember my dining companions, mostly college students, being thoroughly impressed with the place, but the two of us who were young professionals found the seafood overcooked. My wife and I were in the area earlier this month and needed a lunch spot, so I suggested we give this place another try. I'm glad we did. They've changed up how they have their outdoor seating, which includes netting to prevent most things from getting in, but there's still quite a few birds who slip through the open side and try to get you to feed them. Some people must do it, because they've got signage up encouraging you not to do it. Service was decent. The waiter was covering most of the "patio" area (it's like a floating patio on the water), so we definitely could have used some refills that we simply didn't get. My "captain's crunch" was a po-boy like sandwich that was pleasantly crunchy but different enough from the traditional New Orleans style to be unique. My wife was so full from the Marina Mac that I ended up finishing the last few bites to empty the plate. If we're back in the area, we'll probably give this place another visit.

And dogs have their own little menu!!! I absolutely loved it. Our server was amazing!!! She was fast, had a great personality and could not ask for a better waitress. She recommended the cord taquitos, which were honestly the best thing of the night. (Thank you Gwen) The fried fish was also the best I have ever had in my life, and my partner said that she really liked her tiki grill as well, no complaints! We were also able to order virgin pina coladas; totally worth it! Over all, the only thing I would be wary of is that fact that it is all outside, so plan accordingly. There is also a cute gift shop, where if you are at the restaurant, you get 20% off your order. Don't miss the mariner upstairs either, such a cute place and my whole experience was just perfect. tldr. So worth it!! Recommend -corn taquito -tiki grill -fried fish -pina colada -Gwen's section Not Recommended -Nothing to note!

Amazing! The Ribs!!!!!…read more Lovely casual or fancy date night. I've been here a few times actually and each time the service is great. Always filling up your glasses, never got an order wrong, and are so accommodating to all requests. I always get the ribs. They literally fall off the bone. They are that tender!

The restaurant is located in a strange space right where Airline and Cimarron intersect; it's a bit hard to find. The inside is painted bright sea blue with nautical decorations with about 20 tables. The menu contains mostly seafood but some chicken and steak selections. We ordered fried grouper/shrimp platter with okra and cole slaw and grilled shrimp with rice pilaf and mixed vegetables. We were given a bowl of fresh potato chips, warm from the fryer - they're good, but I would suggest salt and seasonings, maybe even a sauce for dipping as they are bland. Bland seemed to be the cuisine of the day. Our fish and shrimp were not seasoned very well, and needed more salt/pepper just to be palatable. The tartar sauce is very tasteless as is the cole slaw made with mainly red cabbage. The okra was fine, the hushpuppies were forgettable and would benefit greatly from a little jalapeno, onion, corn or pepper. Grilled shrimp was good except for the seasoning and the pilaf was okay, but who raves about rice pilaf? Steamed veggies (yawn) were yucky. Even a cheese sauce or butter sauce would have improved the flavor. The portions of grouper on the fish/shrimp platter were tiny - about the size of a half dollar and there were only three of them. At the price you would expect a little more. The shrimp on that platter were large but overcooked. Everything tasted fresh - - no complaints there. The service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant is clean inside and has a full bar. Total for two platters, two teas was $46.88 without tip. With just a few tweaks this restaurant would be five stars.

The atmosphere was nice, quiet, and very clean. The lunch menu was somewhat limited but still offered a good variety of options. We started with the shrimp cocktail. Six shrimp served on a bed of ice with a tangy cocktail sauce. It was fresh and flavorful. I ordered the poke bowl, which was absolutely delicious. My husband's lobster roll was warm, buttery, and generously portioned. Overall the food was tasty and the service was great. We'll definitely be back!

He was also very gracious in helping us when our food was a disappointment. I started with a cup of the lobster bisque and I am so glad that I did because it was DELICIOUS! I don't want to know how much butter went into the process, the perfect amount for maximum flavor for sure, so let's just go with that. Then we ordered the pear salad and shrimp and scallops. This is where it took a turn. The portion on the salad was not shareable, not even a full dinner portion for one. The presentation of the shrimp and scallops was lovely, but the shrimp and scallops themselves had ZERO seasoning or flavor. Not cooked with butter, not even salt or pepper. The only flavor came from the ginger carrot coulis which was nice but very gingery. The risotto was cold. Very cold. The only redeemer on the plate was the sautéed kale which had a lovely flavor and was nice and warm. I ultimately sent the main back and got a bowl of the bisque, which again-was a delight. Big hunks of lobster meat and creamy. Would go back for drinks and the bisque, but would not waste time on entrees.
