Yes, visiting Nice is like going to a tourist trap but better than having pizza where we were duped. My friend met us at Rue Massena and she must take us here. It outside patio was packed with locals and sunglasses were on. I forgot my sunglasses so we all decided to dine lunch inside.
The weather was so beautiful, nice and sunny that a jacket or coat was optional today. My husband ordered the veal cordon bleu and my friend who lives in St. Paul ordered the grilled fish which we very much enjoyed.
Not sure about French food and what to expect at a Scottish tea house but after reading the reviews, most people think it is an English place. I have taken a train from London to Scotland and are very different places. Both cuisines are not my favorite but to compare it especially in South of France is ridiculous. They did not have "fish-n-chips" and their dessert was eye candy.
I inside dining was relaxing and very quiet so my friend and I was able to catch up for not seeing each other for 20 years. Hey, life was busy so it was more of the company rather than if the food was decent which it was.
The inside was fascinating with sculptures, modern paintings and red carpet. I saw the owner sitting at a table and he looked like Pablo Picasso. A few more customers with baby carriages came in for lunch. The waiters were attentive so-so but they are able to be tracked down for filling up water. We felt relaxed and satisfied with the food. So, that's one more star upgrade for me. read more
