Excellent ice cream and large servings. Waffle cones are fresh and you can taste as many of the flavors as you want. Highly recommend.

Marble Slab Creamery

I have experienced all the good ice cream/froyo spots in the GP area and I attest that Marble Slab…read moreCreamery is the best place for flavour and value. I was surprised because it's just a small spot in a big plaza and it doesn't have the appealing decor and fun colours like the other places do in town. I had low expectations and didn't get my hopes up. To save myself from disappointment, I didn't go out on a limb trying something new. I chose the banana split because it was the sale-of-the-day for $6. They said I could have 3 scoops of whatever 12-or-so flavours were currently available. I chose red velvet, white chocolate, red velvet. Next, they said I could put whatever toppings I liked on top. "Anything?" I said lol. I tested them out by getting doubles scoops of this, pieces of that, sprinkles of this, crumbles of that, yum, yum, yum. I thought I was pulling off some heist but apparently it's the norm here and in the end I had a major delicious, diabetic-causing powerhouse of perfection in my hands for $6. I have since returned multiple times getting slabs (yes, slabs is the appropriate term once you see it) of different mixtures and combos of flavours under $7 and have also non-guiltily (?) gained 10 lbs. My top spots in GP (my personal opinion) are: 1. Marble Slab Creamery 2. Yogurty's 3. Menchies 4. Ice Cream Barn (don't underestimate this guy, cause he's gooood) 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. My freezer 10. Dairy Queen

After a long day of running around, stopped here with my partner for a nice Valentines supper and…read morewas it ever perfect! We had reservation, so things moved pretty quickly. We were seated promptly within 10 minutes; had the mushroom Neptune & tuna tartare for appetizers served w/ a glass of wine. The tuna tartare was absolutely delicious, and my first time trying the mushroom Neptune which turned out amazing as well! Kinda wished it wasn't in those little dishes, ended up being a bit tedious trying to scoop out the mushroom Neptune with the bun provided. Oh and the steaks, talk about perfection! I could have teared up a little eating my rib steak! I appreciated how my cut of rib steak was made to medium rare tenderness perfection. My partner's prime rib was just as delicious! She didn't like the shrimp & scallop oscar being served over her steak, but everything else was amazing. Apart from that, our server Mallika made our dining experience nothing short of perfection! The wine service, the atmosphere, the people, and food was all great! Definitely returning for another meal here very soon. Visit this location if your in the area and would like to experience The Keg Grande Prairie's amazing steaks and people!

Manager did zero to rectify or offer so much as even a free drink. Sorry but having you smile and take the time to come to the table does not compensate for the worst Keg meal I've ever experienced. Only saving grace of the evening was the great waitress. Will be exploring new go to place for celebrations

So... We tried the infamous mama panda last night. It's…read moreinfamously terrible in most people's minds. Hmmm where to start. They require you to pay first and ask for a tip at the register... When you walk in you kinda have to guess where everything is after we found the cups and found an area of clean forks (the one cup of forks had a bunch of granola spilled into them) and actually a lot of the surfaces were a little dirty, I didn't pry into it as I didn't want to ruin my appetite. Spilt food won't kill you. So you pour your own drinks and get your own food and utensils. (Lol why do they ask for a tip at the beginning) So on to the food Noodles were alright, mixed veges were actually delicious, fish was blah, Chinese flat noodles were all cooked stuck together in clumps, the battered imitation crab was oily but alright, sushi looked sub par, I didn't try it, chicken wings were Delicious! Pork chops were good, fried chicken was dry, beef stew (in my boyfriends words tasted like dog food) it wasn't thaaaat bad, spring rolls were VERY oily, sweet and sour chicken was fresh and tasty. Soft serve Ice cream was delicious chocolate or vanilla but no option to uses twist... The ginger ale was running out of syrup so tasted like club soda, my dr pepper was good enough. Don't get me started on the general population that was frequenting the restaurant either. Looked like welfare bums and family's with loud children. (Didn't mind the kids that much) All in all It is NOT WORTH the price. It's overpriced like all the restaurants in this city ughhhh It should be a 6.99 lunch buffet and 10.99 dinner not the 16$ that they charge. Everywhere I read everyone says well its cheap and you get what you pay for.... Are they crazy??? It's overpriced but the ONLY Chinese dinner buffet they have in town that I know of. This is not the greatest but good enough food if you want to eat a bunch of cheap Chinese food at grande prairie restaurant prices.

Asked if we could just get wonton rather than buffet as we just wanted a little snack. Giant bowl of wonton incoming. There must have been a dozen wonton in each bowl. Fresh veggies, and bbq pork as well. The broth was delicious. Price was reasonable as well. Courteous staff. You won't be disappointed
