I ordered a birthday meal at 17:36 via Uber Eats, it arrived at 18:17 STONE COLD and with some items undercooked. I initially complained to Uber Eats who blamed the restaurant. I called and spoke to the manager, Charlie, today who pushed back the complaint to Uber Eats. He didn't offer any form of compensation for 2 cold inedible mains and for the undercooked side I would have to come into o the restaurant and spend more money. Nor a sincere apology for a ruined birthday meal. We spent £46 on a cold inedible/unenjoyable meal. I have also had to spend several hours being pushed from pillar to post as no one takes responsibility for fixing the issues. Customer service is non existent. Working as an Event Manager and having been recently venue based in Carnaby Street I can absolutely say I would NEVER leave a repeat customer so unhappy. Word of mouth from unhappy customers is extremely damaging. Previously I would have been happy to recommend this venue but due now primarily to the managers handling of my complaint this will now not be the case. A customer with a ruined birthday is not going to forget quickly. In a cost of living crisis, a customer willing to spend with you should be appreciated.

Both my partner and me went for main courses from the special board - couldn't be any more happy about it. Baked goats cheese as starter and Meatballs tagine and hake fillets with seafood as mains. Nice selection of wines and beers. The mains came with vegetables which was really nice! Bill was £50 and we paid really happy. We'll be back.

They have specials if you fancy a change of the menu and can alter a dish slightly if requested. It's hard to choose as all the dishes sound lovely the pasta I had was cooked to perfection. The staff are warm and friendly and there is a lovely atmosphere, great to enjoy with friends. You don't feel rushed like in some other small restaurants. The prices are reasonable which makes this a great package. It is tucked away slightly and parking is a bit hit and miss as its very busy and near student housing. The only issue I have is that it is small and at weekends you do need to book in advance which could mean you can be disappointed if they are booked early. This place is great and i highly recommend it for any pasta lover!!

We got to choose 1 garlic bread, 1 antipasti, 1 salad and 2 pastas between 2 of us and bread, olives and oil were included. It's such a bargain and you can tell that the food is cooked fresh for you. Staff are very friendly and helpful and not too intrusive -perfect. The restauarant was slightly empty when we arrived but did fill up. Perfect location if you're at Ecclesall Road for the day - would recommend and would definitely go again!

Gorgeous tearoom in the antique quarter. The service is great, the food delicious (wish I'd taken a photo of the army of cakes they had on offer...!) and all of the pretty crockery is just beyond adorable. We even had someone playing piano live in the front room! Would highly recommend to anyone in the area! We split one traditional afternoon tea and one sandwich between two, which meant that we could try the cakes but without having too much of a sugar rush. Would recommend that unless you're super super hungry!

After having a good mooch around these, we arrived at Jameson's, which greets you with a suitably old fashioned look and feel. Staff are smart- male staff wear bow ties (but not necessarily black or white), there is a huge selection of cakes on the counter and it really looks like a 'proper' tea room if you know what I mean. We had an afternoon tea- they have a few varieties but all based around sandwiches, scones and cake. The traditional version allows you to choose only one sandwich filling but the others provide four, plus other additions. I had the traditional, plus a mini bottle of prosecco and my sister had the Splendid, which had a range of sandwiches (cucumber and Brie, prawn, ham and mustard and something else). It was presented beautifully and I loved the mismatched crockery. You get four finger sandwiches, one large scone with jam and cream (or curd with the Splendid)- we could choose from plain, fruit or chocolate orange, and you can choose your cake from the selection on the counter. These are generally sponges and loaf type cakes rather than dainties. The tea selection was great and additionally there are several kinds of champagne and prosecco on the menu, but only served by the bottle (!). There are three mini 20cl proseccos if you just want a glass. As usual after the scone I couldn't actually manage any of my raspberry and white chocolate Victoria sponge, but it was packaged up for us to take home. Staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful, food was great and the menu seemed good value- the most expensive afternoon tea is £80 for two but includes a whole bottle of their £50 Pol Roget Champagne plus all the best cakes and sandwiches. Maybe another time... Jameson's is well set up for small children with wipes and other useful things in the loo (which has a changing mat), plus several high chairs tucked around the corner.
