If I could vote 0 stars, I would. Went here for breakfast yesterday and the food was bland, torrid. the service? Horrendous. There was a greasy hair in my eggs! And the state of the cutlery was appalling. Do they even get washed?! The decor was fine, quite cozy. But everything else was just inexplicably bad. Awoke this morning to find my stomach in absolute knots. Was sick, feveris. And my poor hubby hasn't moved from the toilet seat! so disappointed with such a supposedly 4.6 star diner. read more

Destination Xenia for a motor ride and visit to a vintage motorcycle shop. Found this place on Yelp and drive the few extra miles out of town. Definitely worth the trip. Small quaint place. Maybe seating for 30 including the counter. Food was very flavorful. Serving could have been a hair bigger for me but I was satisfied for the ride home. I will stop again for their signature Savory Skillet. read more

Looking for a brunch place and found this quaint little stop off 42. I love it!! I took my wife out for her birthday and she loves brunch. We were not disappointed. It's family owned and has a great skillet and the biscuits were fluffy and moist! Try it! read more

The food was basic. The decor was dated. No frills, but also not expensive. The menu was either breakfast or lunch. My bacon seemed done, but not crispy. Eggs were great. read more

Just go already!!! This place is adorable! If you're tired of the over sanitized, cookie cutter, franchise breakfast places or the high brow-2 hour wait, gourmet spots- come here. It's a family run mom-pop-son, teeny tiny no frills place w good eggs and coffee. There is veggie sausage and homemade black bean burgers for the vegetarians and gooood home made daily desserts. It's nothing fancy but it's homely and the owners are sweet and it feels good. read more

A little cozy spot off of route 42 on your way to Cincinnati. It was unassuming but we were greeted promptly. I had the Greek omelette and it was delicious! Hubby had the hearty biscuit breakfast and was very satisfied. I know prior reviews spoke about the portions but to us it was perfect! The gravy was smooth, creamy and sausage nicely seasoned. My omelette who knew that tomatoes, spinach, feta and sour cream would be so tasty! The home fries well seasoned and pillowy in the middle. Definitely will be back again read more

This is a real gem of a place! My husband took me here for my birthday for brunch! The biscuits and gravy are the best I've ever had. The owner came out and talked to us and was very friendly! You need to check this place out! They offer catering too! read more

Charming little diner in the middle of the backroads drive between Columbus and Cincinnati, well worth a stop. The young man up front couldn't be more friendly. And the price can't be beat- less than $7 for their signature breakfast. read more

This was a great find for a quiet breakfast. The food was very tasty, cooked properly and hot. The owners were very friendly, but don't be in a hurry when you go. Everything is cooked from scratch. The biscuits are great. My husband said the steak omelette was fantastic. I had biscuits, eggs and sausage and even though I'm not a fan of breakfast gravy, it was delicious. Coffee was not my favorite, but it was hot. I'd suggest a better quality coffee...I'd pay more for it! Don't have big expectations for the decor, this is just a simple but comfortable, clean place. We would come back. read more

Great little find with a cool atmosphere. Grits were great and I got the Greek omelet. Portion was just right.

We found this cafe on Yelp. The service was good; food tasty and reasonable for a mom-n-pop shop. I had the Greek omelet which was yummy and had lots of veggies. Husband had the cheese steak skillet and said it was good. Cute decor. We'd go back. read more

It can be easy to miss this place unless you're actually looking for it as I've driven by here a few times and have missed it. But I'd recommend you stop by for a great breakfast. I usually only go out for Saturday morning breakfast but this place has popped up on Yelp a few times and since it's closed in Saturday I've not considered it until this morning before heading out to church. I enjoyed their signature dish, The Savory Skillet, since "The world is our skillet". I asked for a small blueberry pancake and they had no problem accommodating my morning craving. I certainly give this place high marks... if out of 10 I'd give a 9.5 based only on the ingredients of the Skillet. Though it tasted great, and even though I'm not a vegetarian, I loved to have more vegetables, perhaps onions, peppers, and even some spinach. But I'm in your place and you are doing great. I'm looking forward to my next visit. read more

Solid breakfast and lunch option. Everything's made to order, I had the skillet, which is deep fried hash browns (I prefer grilled), gravy, scrambled eggs n sausage with some bagged cheese on top. I would go the block of cheese and grater approach, YMMV. While I was there someone ordered pancakes with blueberry topping and they didn't have it, but did have fresh blueberries, so I guess they make their own. Most menu items are typical diner fare, peanut butter and jelly stuffed French toast sounded interesting but I wasn't in the mood. Try it! Open Sunday through Friday 7-2. Closed Saturday. read more

Slightly off the beaten path, meaning you can miss it if you are flying down 42. Great food and prices. Their signature dish is really good. A must try and not that far out of the way depending on where you live in the area! read more

Overpriced! Small portions bland as all get out. Slow service, the biscuits are way to sweet the gravy is awful, food was luke warm. Won't go back! Ugh read more

The second visit was outstanding as well. The owners CARE what you think. They have a fantastic place here. Stop in and be delighted.

Don't be fooled by the odd location and the way the exterior building looks. Inside is fresh and clean. Excellent fresh food, down home cooking with a little flair. Owners were on site, friendly atmosphere. Nice diner type restaurant. Even the other customers were nice! Definitely going back soon. read more

Small portions and bland.... Not impressed.... Not what we expected at all... Cute little place but wish the food was better

Great find this morning! We had the signature skillet and it was perfect. I also had a single blueberry pancake which was great, and when I go back, I'll probably get the full order! We also had the Greek omelet, and it was perfect, with very fresh vegetables! The servings were a little light, but the price reflected this, so no complaints on that. The only thing I'd recommend is for them to have a bigger sign, because I've passed this place many times and never realized it was there. read more

Had the pork tenderloin, it was fantastic. I did not see it on the normal menu it was the daily special. They really should add it, I would come regularly just to eat that sandwich. read more

Must be closed for Good... Been there twice at 730 and 9 on different days and no one's there. Sign in grass says open Sunday-Friday ( 7-2). Website says that as well... Pretty poor if you are still open and you can't even keep hours you listed!!!!! Lol read more

Great find on my way to Cincinnati. I always try to find diners on my road adventures. Pleasant decor, nice fall colors. Great customer service. Seemed to be a favorite of the locals. I had the breakfast combo with sausage and grits. The over easy eggs were picturesque. The grits had just the right consistency. I would definitely stop again. read more

This is a great little place but rather out of the way -- along route 42, west of Xenia. I had the hearty biscuit breakfast with grits. Light, fluffy biscuits, nice big chunks of sausage in the gravy. Absolutely incredible grits!! Definitely worth the detour! read more

Used them to cater a surprise party today. Service is great, extremely friendly and accommodating, which is hard to find these days, but the best part was really good food at a really good price. I will be using them again and highly suggest them for you if you need catering! read more

Great little place for my breakfast! Service was good and food was fresh and savory! Give them a try!

First timer, great local spot! Friendly service, great music, and good food! My husband and I are very pleased and will be back.

The savory Skillet is a joke! I ordered their catering service to feed 30 people for a company meeting. Unfortunately, they turned us away because "it was too difficult due to it being individualized." Hhheeellllooooo, every person that walks into your restaurant are individualized orders. AND....You should have NEVER advertised that you cater with a menu that IS INDIVIDUALIZED!!! Apparently, they do not want new business as we have company meetings with some other well known companies throughout Dayton and the surrounding areas. read more

I have been very disheartened by my restaurant experience since moving to Dayton in December. This place was finally a breath of fresh air. It is in the middle of no where and doesn't look like much from the outside however it is a lovely little place. We were greeted warmly when we entered. We were served promptly. They serve simple, good food at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this inviting place for breakfast. Hopefully I'll get a chance to try their lunch sometime. read more
