Belated Taco Tuesday / National Taco Day review. Giving a shout out to Darion Laquan Lewis at More Than A Apron LLC! The first time I ordered here, I had some questions about some ingredients related to my dietary restrictions. I wasn't able to reach anyone on the phone, so I ordered something safe. When I got there to pick up my food, I asked my questions, and the person who took care of me was so kind and so understanding. Probably Darion himself, but I'm not 100% sure, as this was sometime last year and I honestly don't remember. The food is always delicious and consistent. It's packed full of ingredients, always hot, and always great! My only complaint, is that I always find myself craving them on Sunday and Monday, when they're closed! I decided to give this place a shot because I like birria. I walked in to the store. No greeting, and I felt really awkward. The ambiance was far from inviting. There was a kid at the register who looked 12 years old. I asked the kid if it was possible to get the birria tacos without onion, and he told me I could pick the onion off. If you know what a food allergy is, you understand how ridiculous that sounds. I ended up just saying "no thanks" and walking out. I told the owner about this experience on Facebook. The owner denied that what I experienced ever happened. The owner proceeded to block me on Facebook so that I could not say anything else he didn't like. That is where it stands. Went in to this "business" on May 28th and was throughly disappointed. The service, the food, the atmosphere were all more than low quality. As i was ordering my food, i happened to look into the kitchen and saw that it was absolutely DISGUSTING. My husband went into the bathroom and came out saying that it smelled like urine (which was ALSO disgusting) The food was very bland. The chicken, beef and lamb all have the same flavor It's very obvious that they don't know how to make birria tacos and they wanted to just hop on a trend. The rice was burnt as hell and dry. Save your time, definitely your time because the amount of it that it took to wait for this wack ass food was ridiculous , and money and go to somewhere that is actually authentic! read more

Best Tacos we have had ever on Ohio and rivals that of ones we had in California. Absolutely Amazing! Great serving sizes and reasonable price's especially for the quality! Chef Lewis was friendly, kind and even offered a Military discount. Service was fast and efficient. The lamb was tender, the beef had amazing flavor and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Beef tacos were yum!!!! Very delish! I would go back and order these every time! Maybe I'm not partial to lamb but the taste of it just wasn't appetizing to me at all in the least! My other half found it okay. I just couldn't handle the "wild" taste of it. We also tried the chicken bowl. I felt it tasted more like shredded pork. But it wasn't terrible. I guess I had higher hopes for the place but I could have possibly went on a mediocre night. There was 3 employees working approx 40 mins before closing and all of them did not talk to eachother what so ever and was nose deep in their phones. Just didn't catch the greatest vibe. By far the best birria tacos in Dayton, and it's not even close. Yes I've had all the others and they don't touch More Than A Apron and I've been to Mexioc and eaten Birria there. Food was very good and flavorful. Pictures I took were after we started to eat the chicken quesadilla. I completely missed my birria chicken taco. It was gone before I knew what happened. The consommé and verde sauces were tasty. The place was steady with customers. I felt the value for the amount of food we received was good. The taco and quesadilla are packed with meat. The pizza was good but there were a couple of slices that had no or very little beef. I people inside waiting on orders had nothing but rave reviews about the food. We will definitely be back to try the wings and Philly cheesesteak. They currently only accept cash, cash app, or Venmo. The inside is dated, but the owner is working on saving money for remodeling. He is a small business owner who I was told also supports other small business. There are a variety of desserts in their own little space. This place in Miamisburg has been open for a while but I just found this place and it is AMAZING. I was told to go for the birria tacos and was treated to the most flavor I've ever had in a five dollar item. He has lamb, beef, and chicken. I ordered one of each. They come with some Verde salsa and a cup of red broth with a little grease floating on top. Go ahead and dunk that taco like it was an oreo into milk. If the grease kills you at least you'll know what a kick ass taco is supposed to taste like at least once before you died. Seriously.....do yourself a favor and go eat here. The beef birria taco was the best taco I've ever had. The consommé and salsa verde were delish with the taco. The taco was hard to dip in the containers that the sauces were in. Maybe a little bit bigger container? I had the corn and the flavors were really good together. Like others have said, I would prefer it warm. If I'm being honest, I wouldn't order the margarita again. It was $11 and tasted like lemonade. The food was great. I'd recommend it highly.
