If you're ever in Boston and want to experience the North End (aka Little Italy) through the…read moreperfect blend of history and cuisine--do yourself a favor and book this food tour! Paula is an incredible guide--an enthusiastic historian with a deep love for the North End, its rich stories, and its vibrant food scene. She brought the neighborhood to life with fascinating facts, local lore, and unforgettable bites from hidden gems we would've never found on our own. We were so lucky to be the only two people who kept our reservation despite the rain, and honestly? It made the experience even more magical. Paula customized the tour to our pace and preferences, and it felt like we were exploring with a friend who knows everything about the area. One unforgettable stop was Ristorante Saraceno, where we met Franco--the owner--who is an absolute joy to interact with. His warm hospitality, legendary food, and impeccable service made us feel right at home. Buon appetito, indeed! I've done food tours in several cities, but this was hands down the best one yet. From the cozy mom-and-pop spots to the authentic flavors and stories, it was a feast for all the senses. You can genuinely feel Paula's passion for this historic neighborhood and its people. Don't miss it!

We were wondering if we were scammed when we didn't hear from guide until 2 hrs before meeting time and didn't have a meet up spot. But she made up for it! would highly recommend

Maine Foodie Tours - Kennebunkport

While visiting the Kennebunks, I decided to book my first ever foodie tour with Maine Day Ventures…read more This three hour tour not only covered delicious eats, but delivered in history. As our tour group visited each restaurant, we got a side of Kennebunkport history and the insider scoop as to where all of the locals dine. Marlene Brooks is an exceptional host and tour guide. She is a 13th generation Mainer and provided such detail about each local spot including the history behind our food. Her professionalism and Maine pride was evident throughout the tour. The ticket price for this experience was around $145. In my opinion, it is well worth the price because it is an opportunity to meet new people, learn more about Maine, and try different restaurants. Marlene took our group to some restaurants that my friend and I didn't know existed. Some advice would be to arrive on the tour hungry because you get to try so many delicious plates. By the end, my friend and I were full. Below please find some of the places we visited and the food we enjoyed: 1. Fiafia - mixed berry smoothie 2. Alisson's - lobster roll (you get a choice between three - the original, lemon garlic, or lobster chowder) 3. Federal Jack's - clam chowder with potatoes and a sample of beer 4. Mornings in Paris - whoopie pie and a choice of coffee or select tea 5. The Pilot House - fried haddock bites 6. Bar Harbor Cheesecake - cheesecake sample (can have more than one) This foodie tour encouraged me to try other food tours when traveling to new places. Marlene and Maine Day Ventures left a lasting impression and added great value to my Maine trip. The Kennebunks are filled with a rich history, excellent seafood, and the most friendly people. Thank you for a great experience!

A gourmet tour this is NOT. There is a world-class lobster roll place on the tour (Clam Shack), but…read morego there yourself and save yourself the rest of the garbage. Mead? Really? Undrinkable. Whoopie Pies? If you happen to like them, buy it yourself and the local grocery store. Our guide, a schoolteacher, treated us like idiots and managed to convey very little information. She couldn't even pronounce macaroon correctly, and she's leading a food tour? Do yourself a favor and skip this; go to one of the fantastic food tours in Portland ME instead.

Boston's Politically Incorrect North End Food Tour - The best Sfogliatella I ever had!!

Best F&@king Tour Ever…read more.. Anthony's the Man. Too many tours are polished and feel like they were written by someone sitting in an office in another city. Anthony would hate those guys. From the very beginning, Anthony makes you feel like you're on a ride along with a guy from the neighborhood, and the tour is great because of that. His humor, his observation, and his experiences in the North End give the tour character, and damn is it fun! The food is fantastic: every stop was local and fresh; the Italian Sub at Monica's is a work of art. Thanks to Anthony for a a real treat! Book this f$&king Tour!!!

I have a bone to pick with Politically Incorrect North End Food Tour.... It was so so good that it…read morehas ruined every other food tour for me.... Anthony has set the bar way too high. Now this tour may not be for everyone, as the title of the tour alludes to.. but if you don't mind the random swear word and aren't easily offended, you'll be like me... cracking up for 3 hours straight. And there was one thing I noticed about Anthony that he doesn't advertise, and may try to track me down for saying on here.... But beneath the gruff exterior was the sweetest guy that seemed genuinely interested in sharing his culture, stories, and amazing food with everyone! We started off at a pizza joint where we got a slice of pizza and an arancini ball. I expected the pizza to be good... and it was fantastic. But I am not a huge fan of arancini and this one had peas in it... also something I am not a huge fan.... But hey, I was on a food tour so I was going to try everything! Thank goodness I did, because this arancini was the stuff of dreams. How in the world could something be THAT much better than what high end Italian restaurants advertise? The last time I had an arancini ball was at a restaurant in Hawaii that won "best Italian food in Hawaii".... And it was only so-so. This arancini ball would make me fly 5,000 just to eat it again! Next up was a deli sub, a coffee shop, ravioli, a pastry shop and lastly an affogato (or gelato if you didn't want coffee that late in the day). Based on the food I received, before factoring in all the stories that Anthony shared, I feel the tour was really underpriced. I wish I hadn't done this the tour on my last day, I would have gone back for another round of everything we tried, as well as everything that was recommended. Heck I may have signed up for the tour again just to experience it all over again!
