In 1974, the church paid off its mortgage, which was incredible. St. Paul's also had added a parcel of land that provides access to the church from Hilton Avenue. In addition, the corner house on Cathedral Avenue was bought and is presently for educational purposes. The church architecture and altar are beautifully designed. St Pauls has a brilliant sound when the choir sings. A few years ago, many visited the church to be blessed by the crying Virgina Mary Icon. I was one of the individuals who stood online. First, an icon of the Virgin Mary, shed tears, then the icon of St Nicolas soon after. This is the first time this St. Nicholas Icon has begun to cry. Christos Anesti! Happy Easter to the Greek Community.

The Cathedral is fairly large with plenty of seating for any given service or religious affairs. The church was performing three baptismal at the same time, but given the status of the current pandemic, they did an outstanding job to mitigate exposure to the virus inside the church. The father was wearing a mask while performing the service, which made it difficult to hear him. However, the service was wonderfully translated and surprisingly the young baptismal children did not even cry during the service. I have visited many beautifully architecturally designed churches in the United States and as well as Europe. By common nature, the church is meant to encourage and deliver its patrons hope in something greater than themselves. I often notice that its intonation are interpreted in the design of the altar and the ceilings of a given cathedral. St Elizabeth has demonstrated that impression by their beautifully architecturally designed altar and overall interior design.
