When i first arrived in Skegness I had a wonderful warm welcome at the Rufford from its propreitors Paula and Steve.
When you first enter the hotel it seems a bit old fashioned, i guess it reminded me a bit of my nans house!
I guess the hotel is more geared towards the older guest.
Paula and Steve did their very best to help me while i was at the hotel providing me with local information and attractions and things that i could do with the children. They were also willing to entertain one of the children whilst i sorted the other out if i needed them to i didnt even need to ask!
I only ever had breakfast at the Rufford and being as my children were both under 2 at the time breakfast time was very centered around them but it was made as easy as possible for me. By the time we came down to breakfast their breakfast would be there and ready along with a highchair! All the food that enters the dining room is home cooked in the hotels kitchen by themselves.
All rooms have ensuite, televisions and tea and coffee making facilities.
There is a television in the lounge for residents use, aswell as the dining room and the bar where drinks are reasonably priced.
On the whole the Rufford is a very enjoyable experience, the staff are polite, friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and well presented. I was actually sad to leave!
The prices are on par with others in Skegness, and in my opinion it is well worth every penny. read more
