Whilst the Cafe itself has a lovely design and feel to it, the staff are friendly and the display of food rivals what my imagination could ever dream of, I leave unhappy. I ordered pancakes with maple syrup and bacon. My bacon was burnt which doesn't go well ever, certainly not with pancakes. But the most disappointing thing was that my pancakes were not house made, they were pre-bought. Pancakes are an inexpensive and relatively quick thing to make. If you can't be bothered to make them yourself, why put them on the menu? Having eaten homemade, shaker and pre-bought pancakes plenty of times you can taste the difference. I am so sad that this place has unfavorable reviews! They do not reflect my experience at all. I came in on a Saturday for lunch and one of the staff opened the door for us and greeted us immediately and the rest of the staff in the dining area and behind the counter greeted us upon entering The Roses Cafe. Everyone was smiling and extremely helpful and pleasant. The display of baked goods, salads, etc is absolutely beautiful, I wanted one of everything. I had the Roses' Meat Pie with a Greek Salad and a Cappuccino and my boyfriend had the Moroccan Lamb Pie with a Rocket, Potato, and Pumpkin Salad and a Cappuccino. Everything was absolutely delicious! The staff was incredible, each time they came to the table (to drop of our meals, beverages, or to pick up dishes) they asked if we were waiting on anything, if we needed anything, and how everything was. Incredible food, beverages, service, and great atmosphere, I'll definitely be back time and time again to try more of the menu. read more

I would not recommend Roses to anyone. You will get better value for money eating elsewhere. I had the Chicken & Mushroom Pie. I was lucky to find a piece of mushroom in it, it was warm, not hot, and was bland. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict. The eggs were over cooked and rubbery, the muffins had the consistency of cardboard. When my wife and I are in Yass, Roses is the last place we will eat. read more

UNEXPECTED BAD EXPERIENCE !!!! Today The Rose's Cafe Yass opened after a long Holiday period. My husband and I made a 50 Km trip to have lunch at this place. To our dismay the attendant refuse to take our order claiming that they had run out of food while multiple dishes were coming out of the kitchen with exactly the same food we had ordered. Because we kept asking him for alternatives the attendant, in desperation, said that he could only serve what was on display in the counter so. we asked for lasagna. He immediately said that even when it was on display it was not available because it was a kitchen item. He then offered some rolls that were on a different counter. Once we selected two of them he again said he could not serve them because they were a kitchen item also. When he realized we were not leaving he offered coffee and some old pastry that was on display at the far end of the counter. The Rose's Cafe Yass used to be our favorite place. We are now looking for an alternative for our business. Their food maybe good "when it is available" but to purposely deny service to patrons at the counter is more than what I can tolerate from a business I have been supporting for many years. read more

We have just had a fabulous brunch at The Roses Cafe. The staff were friendly and our meals arrived promptly, hot and well presented. My husbands meal of basic egg and bacon on toast with roasted tomatoes were perfectly cooked and a generous serve. We should of probably shared the meal. My meal was frittata with smoked salmon and a side serve of baked potatoes and salad. Both of gourmet standards. Very filling and yummy. The coffees were hot. We can HIGHLY recommend this cafe to anyone. Thanks for a memorial brunch on our travels. read more
