Very disappointing experience using Callahan Plumbing! My aunt paid approximately $2,000 for a hot…read morewater heater, installation and related work, yet the unit leaked from the beginning. She was forced to mop water from her floor multiple times daily. When she contacted Jack Callahan about the issue, he returned and charged her additional money to install a bladder tank, but the water heater continued to leak. Concerned that the problem was never resolved, she hired another area plumber for a second opinion. He found that the water heater itself was severely rusted and appeared to have been in poor condition prior to installation. He also identified components used during the installation that were not standard plumbing parts. After learning this information, my aunt contacted Jack and requested that he remove the faulty water heater and provide a full refund. Although she had originally been told that the water heater cost $1,200 and the remainder of the money paid was for labor, he provided only a $500 reimbursement for the unit. Based on our experience, this plumber charged premium prices while providing poor-quality equipment, materials and workmanship. We were disappointed by the lack of accountability, honesty, and his unwillingness to make the situation right after repeated problems. Recommend looking elsewhere for a reputable, honest plumber.
