There was a beautiful ranch style home that was upstairs and downstairs and had a few bedrooms throughout the home (I didn't get a chance to walk around and view all the rooms) but I did see a pool table at the top of the stairs which was opened to overlook the living room and dining room. The reception building was beautifully lit with more than enough room and table and chairs to seat a wedding of 100+ people. And it was air conditioned!!! So that was a huge plus!! The bathroom in the reception area was huge and had a small loveseat in it for any mothers who may need to breast feed in private. But there was only 1 bathroom in the reception hall so that was a bummer. The only other thing that would've been nice but wasn't a huge deal was the outdoor seating area. Because it was 90-100 degrees there was no shade for anyone unless you grabbed the seats closest to the trees! But all in all beautiful place to hold an event!

A few miles out on a dirt road, off Hwy 7 and 65, you will come to an old farm looking venue. There is a silo type building that is used for the men's dressing and waiting area, a room off the main "hall/barn" for the bride's room. Both rooms are decorated and perfect for the occasion. The main room is wide open with a bar area. The A/C worked wonderfully which was awesome since temps were in the 100s at wedding time. Large round tables with chairs are for use, plus benches for seating outside. Outside the main building you'll find a pavilion with areas for seating and viewing. Spotted around the venue are round bales of hay, a tractor, wooden benches, large grassy fields and a trail to a pond. The large grassy field was perfect for sunset pictures. There's a dance floor under strings of lights. The background for pictures is amazing! There is also an outside, covered, bar area as well. I helped decorate for the wedding and inside a large storage room were TONS of decorations that we were free to use if we wanted; lanterns, imitation flowers, signs, chalkboards, watering cans, burlap, lace, crates, table cloths, vases, it was like Hobby Lobby exploded in there! We did bring our own décor, but this place had so much more to help us accentuate and perfect this wedding day. I think the only downside to the venue was the amount of wasps that were around. We sprayed the area several times the day prior, and morning of, the wedding so by the time the guests arrived it was a lot more under control and not an issue really. I was not in charge of booking, nor had any contact with the owner, but it was obvious that this place was loved and had a lot of thought go into it. This venue would be awesome for any wedding... simple or fancy. It also would be ideal for any other large gathering such as family reunions or company picnics. Lots of parking, lots of grassy area, plenty of indoor and outdoor room for seating and tables. This could not have been any more perfect for our much loved bride and groom!! I wanted to post so many more pictures but most of mine have people in them, but I think you can get the idea by what I've posted. Today is July 24, 2025…read more I stayed here 2 nights recently. Monday-Wednesday morning. Took my 6 year old and we enjoyed the waterpark and overall it was fun for him. BUT upon initially going into our cabin (#3) I noticed a musty mildew type smell. I thought it was probably from the age on the place and it seemed clean so I wasn't too worried about it. Fast forward to Tuesday afternoon and I started scratching at what I thought was a mosquito bite on my jawline. Later that evening I noticed several more bites that I thought were mosquitos but I had not seen a single mosquito in the several days we had been in Wichita Falls... odd! Wednesday morning I had more bites, all slowly swelling and getting redder and itchier and I spotted the culprit. A BED BUG! We were having fun and considered extending our stay but after that I quickly packed and could not get out of there fast enough. It's now Thursday night and I have at least 21 nasty itchy bites on me, slowly swelling, getting redder and larger every day and I'm googling bed bugs. They are on my hand, face, arms, back, neck and shoulders. I still have new ones showing up and they may not all show up for 14 days! I told the young woman at the front desk when I checked out and she did not seem all that concerned about it. I wrote a message through the website's portal and have not received a response. I am writing this review with hopes that someone takes this seriously and does something about this. The musty smell I was smelling is typical of a bed bug INFESTATION! Wish I had known that 4 days ago! My 6 year old has a small red spot on his face and I am overwhelmed with concern that he has bites that may not react and/or show up for another 2 weeks! This place needs a serious treatment from a professional pesticide applicator and all of the bedding, mattresses, box springs, furniture probably needs to be burned! DO NOT STAY IN CABIN #3 OR ANY OF THE CABINS CONNECTED TO IT! CHECK FOR BED BUGS! If you smell musty/mildew turn around and leave! My boy had so much fun but I am so disappointed! No way we should have ever been allowed to go in that cabin! I hope no one else does either!

For those of you reading the other reviews about it being hot in the summer because of no AC, THERE IS NOW AC! The reception hall and all the back rooms are fully air conditioned! If you want an easy wedding planning experience and a beautiful backdrop to marry the love of your life (that costs fractions of what it would at other venues), Sparrow Creek is the place to go! She was quick to answer questions and sent tons of helpful information and checklists which helped me every step of the way. The venue is absolutely stunning! We used The Grove for our ceremony, however there are different areas you can use and they're all beautiful. The reception barn is rustic and so gorgeous in itself you don't have to use a lot of decor. Need decor!? No problem, this place has a plethora of decor you have access to. Kalli has a list of vendors she recommends and they too, did not disappoint!! SCR is not only affordable, you get the entire weekend. We decorated the day before and it was so nice and took stress away to be able to get that completed and not rush the day of. We were able to spend the day of wedding just getting ready and I, just enjoyed spending the day with my daughter. If this venue isn't close to you they have you covered there as well. Less than 1/2 a mile is Wildcatter Ranch and we had a wonderful stay there. Another plus to this venue is there are 2 bridal suites. We were able to get ready and hang out in one and the other was a beautiful location for bridal pictures. We did not have to rush around and clean to take pictures. The food was very good and fresh which I loved. The vegetable pakora was surprisingly my highlight. Not because the rest of the meal was bad, but because it was so unique. But that is just a preference. We loved it!
