Terrible customer service…read more First, they issued a policy that their underwriting cancelled later even though the facts were shared up front. Secondly, their agents don't respond to emails. Period. Don't. They will apologize if (and that is a big if) you catch them on phone, but then again won't respond. Lastly, they did not issue my refund or provide any communication on it, even after cancelling my policy. I have had to make 10+ calls, 10+ emails for a matter that should have been easy to address. Unfortunately, after several days of repeated follow-ups, inaccurate information, poor communication, and having to continually correct issues myself, I ultimately withdrew my request and took my business elsewhere. From the beginning, I provided my existing homeowners policy and asked that it be reviewed carefully so I could receive an accurate, comparable quote. The quote I received contained numerous inaccuracies and discrepancies. Rather than those issues being caught through a professional review, I was placed in the position of having to identify them myself. Even after bringing the problems to their attention and giving the office additional opportunities to correct everything, I never received an accurate revised quote. The communication throughout the process was equally disappointing. Promised follow-ups did not occur, I repeatedly had to initiate contact myself, and I even had to contact State Farm separately to obtain supervisory information after requesting it multiple times. I eventually spoke with David, who was courteous and said he would personally work on correcting everything, but unfortunately the communication problems continued and I was still unable to obtain the properly reviewed quote I had originally requested. There comes a point where a potential customer should not have to work this hard simply to do business with a company. Attention to detail, communication, and follow-through are basic expectations--especially when dealing with something as important as homeowners insurance. After giving this office multiple opportunities to resolve the situation, I decided I had spent enough time chasing answers and correcting problems. I withdrew my request and will be working with another State Farm agency. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this office.
