Jesse Reinle Financial Advisor The Retirement Group is a financial firm that specializes in retirement for employees of certain fortune 500 companies. I attended a seminar for Merck employees and found it to be a great experience. Prior to the lunch, I had quite a bit of uncertainty about retirement and my financial plans. After talking with Jesse Reinle, I felt much better. We ran a plan that projected years out and it made me feel comfortable (because I was on track of course). My coworker (whom I won't name) received one, as well. She wasn't on track but told me she felt better now because she started making changes in her finances. It made sense. Three weeks ago I went to a free seminar with some coworkers and I was pleasantly surprised. I am not a great planner and I find that I procrastinate a lot on things that I shouldn't....retirement shouldn't be one of them. I also have to be completely honest, I really hate going to something "informational" and feeling like I'm getting talked at instead of spoken to, LUCKILY, it wasn't the case here. Nobody wants to be lectured. Brent Wolf really took it home for me and showed me that I had options and that I was able to take action.....yes I got piece of mind. I can't say enough about the job Dave Meshel and Steve Toto do presenting at the seminars and helping me plan for my retirement. There are always changes going on around Merck it seems like but they stay on top of it and provide some great insight. I talk to many colleagues at work about what The Retirement Group provides and most of them agree that they provide great ideas and their knowledge is impressive. The only complaint I could even think of is the restaurant can be loud at times during the seminar but not too much you can do about that. I've been with TRG for years now and I only attended my first seminar just recently...because I figured with free food, informative pamphlets, and the prospect of gaining new insight I thought, "Why not?" Last seminar I attended was specifically on retirement planning I didn't really realize how many options I had until I went. Seats were uncomfortable though so it detracted a little from my experience. Nevertheless I would recommend going to those who are unsure about planning their finances. read more

I have been going to seminars for quite a while now and have always felt that The Retirement Group has been very knowledgeable and very helpful when it comes to my benefit options and preparing for retirement. Unlike other companies, I never feel pressured to do business and they do most of it complimentary. I've mainly utilized the retirement group for the seminars they provide and they were somewhat useful to me. The only complaint was that they offered general information on financial planning/retirement without delving into the minor details, which was more of what I needed. I think it would be more useful for those with little-to-no understanding of the subject matter as it may open many doors. With layoffs abound at our division at AT&T the CWA invited us to watch a computer live Webex that the Retirement Group has every Friday for information about the retirement process the benefits about it and when it is ideal to do so. I found the Webex for AT&T employees very informative and knowledgeable. Paul and Brent explained everything very clearly. My last advisor was short, curt and very condescending. They did not listen and they were friends with my co worker. read more

This company is a scam and totally unethical. Do not give them your money or go anywhere near them. This company is a cold call mill leaving completely fictitious messages trying to seduce into ultimately do business with them. It is illegal to cold call. If they can't follow the most basic laws, and have to resort to lies to get business, you know you have to run for the hills. Stand-up company that provides many complimentary services. I was able to avoid many of the mistakes that ATT employees make with their benefits. Who knew how much planning goes into retirement? Always thought you work and then retire and it is all pretty much set in stone. Not the case at all. So much to keep in mind to avoid costly errors. I have no complaints about the process. I studied and became an expert with the Merck pension and 401k plans.
