We had a very pleasant shopping experience with Royce and Tracy at this family business, which has…read morebeen in the community for several decades. They have a surprisingly large collection of furniture in their display room. We purchased an upscale bed with a heavenly matress (Aireloom), as well as a very comfortable leather reclining loveseat. We decided to get a couch during there no tax sale. We found a couch that we liked but the color…read morewasn't right. We were told we could order one in the color we wanted for the same price. After several trips getting color samples we were ready to order our couch. Then the clerk said oh, the new price sheet has it at $300 more!! 20% increase. At that point I did not want to give this company our business. I am happy to say we just bought a nice couch from Scandinavian Design in Santa Rosa at a good price with no B.S. I hoped to keep my money local but not when they do business like that.

A couple of weeks ago we needed some concrete for a project. We called GEO and ordered 2 yards…read more They came out and poured the concrete. My miscalculation, not theirs, we were short! Durning the pour they got two trucks stuck in my yard...the ground was pretty soft from the rains. However these guys went over and above to help us fix the concrete and yard. They were very nice and understanding, they brought back enough concrete to finish the project, gave us some helpful ideas and we are very happy with the out come. We have purchased all our gravel, dirt, and concrete from these guys in the past years that we lived here. We have never had any issues, I would recommend these guys all day long! Thank you GEO guys!

My brother lived in a rental house in Mendocino, and when he died, I became the executor of his…read moreestate. Living hours away from Mendocino, I needed an expert with local connections who could coordinate the sale and dispersal of the contents of the house (ranging from a large oil painting to kitchen utensils) and who could turn over the house in good shape to the landlord. Claire Amanno was that person. She has expertise in evaluating many types of articles and can readily do efficient research to develop expertise in new areas. She deals very well with people, including family members, out-of-town prospective purchasers of fine art, and landlords. She shows initiative, as when she determined that certain articles would earn more if sold on E-Bay rather than during the onsite estate sale. And she does it all with speed, care, and the knowledge of who to call for local services, such as cleaning. I only had to come to Mendocino once. Claire Amanno did the rest. She deserves and gets my highest recommendation.

My Mother has bought a few appliances from this place. The only reason they are still in business…read moremust be because they are the only game in town. But given the options for shipping to the Coast now they should really take more care in their hazardous advice and customer service. Each appliance my Mom bought (stove, refrigerator, upright freezer) she was told that since the plug won't reach she should just use an extension cord. In double checking she found out that this is dangerous and a fire hazard (thank you Ft Bragg Electric). When she called to notify Canclini they told her on the phone they "Didn't want to listen to this." And cut her off. Being from an older and more vulnerable demographic, this seems very predatory and dismissive. My advice would be if you need any appliances on the North Coast this place would be a last resort. (If zero stars were an option I would do that)

FANTASTIC LYS! Oh how I would love for this to be MY local yarn shop! First off - tons and tons…read moreand tons of stuff. Everything you could need for knitting (or crocheting). On top of having everything you could need - the owner/woman working the day we went (Tuesday morning) was super friendly. Not at all stuck up and completely helpful if you need help while laying off if you don't. They had sales bins (20% and 50%) they had shelves of yarn that reached the ceilings in 4 different rooms of the shop. They had an entire Rowan section. Tons of Berroco. Some Debbie Bliss (yarn and a good selection of books). Noro. Manos del Uruguay. Nashua. A few finished objects littering the store. There was even a substantial selection of books and magazines and patterns off in yet ANOTHER side room. GREAT place. We were really impressed!

Well, it wasn't as comfortable as the older model. We waited too long to make corrections, our fault, well last night, Dave, my husband woke up at 3AM and slept in his recliner down stairs...he said his back was killing him...to find out, we both were experiencing back pain in that bed. Today we went to Flobeds and the owner gave us a new bed like the ones we had in the past and because we purchased 6 months ago he could not make a free swap...but we got a whole new bed for 500 dollars. I haven't purchased yet and to be honest, after the few experiences I had with Dewey on the phone…read moreand through chat on their webpage, I feel more and more leery giving them so much money, especially after reading about the whole process of returns. I expressed how I was concerned what he was recommending would be too firm, because in general, as a heavier person, everyone says to get the firmest option, but I have complex medical issues, involving hypermobility that causes my ribcage to come out of place, as well as shoulders, etc. He basically ignored me and told me to just put the super firm in the cart. He didn't seem to want to hear my story or help me, just that I was fat so I'd need a super firm mattress. The selection doesn't seem great, but I keep finding reviews here and there saying they have great mattresses, but I am also seeing a lot about how the return process is ridiculous, so it is really scary to jump into this, as someone who is chronically ill and will not be able to packed it all back up. I feel if I expressed that concern, I'd be told to not buy it then, which may just very well be the case with such poor customer service.
