Apartments are quite, clean, and seem to be well maintained. Had an issue with the water heater on move-in that was promptly resolved by Sterling. Despite replacing heater coils hot water is still very limited in these apartments. If you, your partner and kids want to have a shower in the morning, one of your showers will be cold. Kids have to shower/bathe night before. Kitchen layout is a little challenging. There is very limited storage space. On windy days, there is a very loud noise like a ping pong ball being hit back and forth, due to the wind pulling up the air trap in the exhaust pipe coming out of the bathroom. You will wake up to a ping pong match. All of the bathrooms light switches that are hard wired to the fans. This means that you cannot have light without a very loud fan buzzing in your ears. Had to put a lamp and use up one of the two outlets in there for that purpose. The laundry room is wired in a similar fashion. Lastly, the property management is due for some training in professionalism. On move-in, I setup auto-pay. This residence uses a 3rd party billing company, that apparently lets you input whatever information you so desire with no regard as to whether it is accurate or not. For example, I setup auto-pay in the system using the available prompts, which only resulted in my account being billed a month in advance. When informing the property manager about this and seeking a remedy, she informs me, "Well, it's your fault for setting it up that way." I kindly informed her that I was only presented with a day to select from which the funds would withdrawal, not a particular month, at which point she insists, "No, I've walked residents through this a thousand times and I know there is a month selection." Apparently Property Managers have become experts in technology systems, and I surely couldn't have experienced anything other than what she was stating. The Property Managers solution was to put the responsibilty for remediation and correction back on me, the customer, and directed me to logon to the portal and cancel the auto-pay and then wait until the appropriate time again (1st of month) and re-start my auto-pay. I questioned that solution, and wondered how I would be credited the money they were taking from me as a free loan every month. During this conversation, I was interrupted and talked over several times. When it was clear that I wasn't able to identify an immediate resolution, I asked for the Property Managers supervisory contact information. She refused to provide me that information, and apparently thought I had overstepped my bounds as she then promptly hung up on me, after stating, "I am the manager, I've told you what you need to do and clearly you don't want my help and now I will be ending this conversation." At this point, I have to physically go over and walk to her office, where the "Closed" sign is hanging up though everyone is in the office. After I figure out its not locked, I again ask the Property Manager for the contact information of her supervisor. She again refuses. Finally, I have to go and Google Search to find the property management company of Prodigy Property Management, LLC. Luckily I call the number and get someone who can help; but overall not a great experience. Other than that...great place to stay, though it looks like nearly everyone that lives here is transient (moving out/moving in), doesn't seem like too many longer term residents. read more
