Just a word of advice. If you come to the Mansion, BE CAREFUL! A flock of Geese basically have claimed this place as their own. You'll typically find them in massive flocks. DO NOT mess with the Geese. They are nasty, dangerous creatures who will hurt you if you provoke them. ESPECIALLY when they are nesting. Well, at the very least, they make the place look more beautiful when they're all together. Take a look for yourself and be the judge. As far as the barn goes, it was pretty empty. I was told it was used for events but it didn't seem to be open during FunFest. It makes me wonder what this barn is used for.

I had the pleasure of attending a wedding at the Barn at Triple J Farms a few Saturday's ago and I…read morethought the venue was just beautiful. The farm is set in the Appalachian mountains near the town of Roan Mountain, TN. The grounds are very well kept and the wedding took place down in the field and the reception took place in the barn area. The property has some really nice views of the mountains in the background. The venue has rustic farm decor and the interior of the barn is complete with white lights and chandeliers, so it's still very classy. There is also an outdoor area where they had cocktail tables set up that had the round bulb, white lights strung up everywhere. The venue had a separate area for the bridal party to get ready and also had a small commercial kitchen for food prep. I don't get the impression that this farm has been offering event services for long, but I'm sure it will become a very popular place to hold weddings, showers, and company events as more people learn about it.

Everything seemed great from the start, staff was friendly and accommodating. Day of setup they…read moreshowed up a couple of hours early with about a 25-minute notice. The tent had multiple holes in the top, several of the zippers that met the side of the tent had several inch gaps in them. The delivery of the portable bathroom trailer (from East Tenn Rental, Celebrate's parent company) was very concerning. The driver didn't use the driveway although the other truck was moved so he could, he scraped the stabilizers on the road and dug them through the front yard. We were told we'd receive a discount due to the damage of the yard but because they provided a military discount, no other considerations were possible. The event was held on Saturday, 4 days later the trailer is still sitting here because they can't find someone to come and drain it before moving it. Problem is there are limited sources for tent/table/chair/bathroom rentals...and Celebrate knows it!
