Participated in a recent conference here. The layout of the building is tight, restricting movement…read moreand preventing wide open spaces from even existing. Techs running presentations were complaining about the main hall being an echo chamber, leading to subdued volume levels for the first full day of the conference. The conference centre was sufficiently clean, but the entire building was not maintained through the conference. A stench was present for the entire conference at one of the key connection points to the host hotel, so you got to get a whiff of it a number of times through the duration. Catering was underwhelming. The majority of meals were handheld, extras were sparse, and the only plated meal of significance was the final one of the conference. If you can get better food several steps from the conference hall, you need to do a better job. Overall the conference was a good experience. However, the drawbacks of the building were apparent. I hope future conferences have this in mind.

Dear Rockhouse, You…read morehave the best music venue in town, but why the crappy bar staff? Your coat check people are lovely, as are the people taking your money at the door. But the bar staff? I haven't seen any of them crack a smile, ever. Plus your beer prices are outrageous. Or maybe that was just St. Patrick's Day. Your bar rocks. It's wide open, has a great stage, and doesn't smell like poop. Thank you for this. But please, work on the customer service. Cheers, Candice

Well attended and run, primarily by volunteers. Some big name sponsors must make the job a lot easier these days as it is difficult to continue to run these type of large festivals, year after year after year. Love the set up and have few complaints as the ticket pricing is extremely reasonable. Just wish there were a few more food options, like a coffee truck. Arts vendors have beautiful products. Something for everyone. Look forward to seeing these each years showcasing local talent and products. I learned about the traditional methods of dying using lichens and plants from one artist's display. Weekend pass is divided into a total of 5 sessions, which makes attending and seeing the acts you want to see easy. Very enjoyable weekend.
