I love color, but I don't want it to be too over the top. I asked for softness and dimension and got just that. What especially stood out to me was how she approached my hair. During the application, she blow dried away the stray hairs before applying the color. Maybe it's not a new technique, but it was new to me and I really appreciated that level of attention. Anything that helps keep my hair healthier for longer, I need it! As for the salon itself, it's the nicest spot in the area. If I'm going to be sitting around for hours getting my hair done, I need it to be somewhere I actually enjoy being.

She went to Mia yesterday and came back looking like she had received a cheap $20 haircut. I was shocked when she told me she paid $95 for this. Are you kidding me? This is incredibly disappointing and unacceptable for the price. I am so upset and heartbroken to see my mother like this. You really need to work on your quality.

I brought in example/ inspo photo (just simple long layer cut) and asked for face framing pieces and showed it to the stylist, but the stylist barely looked at the photo. My hair looked nothing like the photo I showed, and it was cut much shorter than expected and the end feels choppy. I gave it more chance by washing and drying the day after, but it's overall disappointing. I had mentioned a few times I want to keep it longer like the picture I showed, but it wasn't heard. I couldn't say much more once the stylist made the very first snip and had to go along with it. It became even shorter by the end. I wish the stylist had been more proactive about the consultation before proceeding with the cut. I got an impression that the stylist wanted to get through the hair cut session as a quickly as possible. This was for upcoming graduation, so it is more disappointing. Again, very nice lady. Not too sure if it's just one time issue!

He services his scissors in Japan semi-annually just to maintain his equipments in great condition. This helps prevent split ends and other hair troubles I used to frequently encounter. Nori also uses a scale to formulate the hair colors. You can feel assured you won't come out of the salon looking funky. Appointments can be made online directly from his website, or by emailing/texting him directly. He is very flexible and accommodating with appointments. Lastly, parking can be found adjacent from the salon building structure. You can also charge your EV for free too. Amex accepted and drinks and clean environment offered. Can't recommend Nori enough.

I went in to get a perm and cut…read more The vibe was very nice. Very respectful. His space was very clean and tidy with what seems, state of the art tools. I have had fine hair all my life, but even still my hair has always taken well to perms, always. Even the last one over a year ago. The only complaint I had was the use of larger rods which made my hair more wavy curl than curly. Nori had said that my hair wouldn't take well to a perm, but because I know my hair's history, I asked him do it anyway and he agreed to do it. First he used a more gentle solution because of my pervious perm over a year ago (did not ask if I wanted that), and I didn't know until he was already in the process of using it on my hair... my hair needs the stronger solution. Second he did a loose curl wrap instead of a tight curl wrap. With fine hair (or at least my hair) it needs to be curled up against the scalp. I think he did this because it was a hot treatment perm (which I never had before) vs a cold treatment perm. He didn't give an option. So the perm came out ok on the bottom because it already had the previous perm that was there from a year ago. But the top part of my hair had virtually no difference. If you have fine hair and looking to get a perm, I would not recommend Nori. I'm sure he does really well with all other hair services. To his credit, the perm itself, aside from the lack of curl, was a healthy perm (did not harm my hair) and he did give a very nice cut prior to the perm process. I think if he would have explained his treatment process and how it differed from what I had previously experienced, that may have helped my decision to go elsewhere, before wasting over $200 I had taken a year 1/2 to save. Again I think he probably does really well with the other services he provides. I just think for women (or men) with fine hair, you may want to think twice if you're looking to get a perm.

[Parking]: Ace Beauty Center shares the same parking plaza as Tokyo Central and Daiso with plenty of available free parking spots. [Price]: $40 for a men's haircut plus one shampoo. [Process]: I arrived one minute late to my appointment and she wasted no time and began cutting my hair. I could tell Vivi is an experienced stylist and was good at what she was doing. I only showed her one specific Asian hairstyle picture on my phone and she was able to replicate the same hairstyle and complete the haircut process in 30 minutes. She asked whether I would like to wash my hair at the end and I said yes. Afterward she added some finishing touches and trimmed my hair. [Conclusion]: I was very satisfied with the end result and would definitely recommend Vivi. She was efficient and no-fuss with a reasonable haircut price.

Thank you Nikki and Joe for working on me for 5-6 hours to get this done. Honestly, I almost feel bad because Nikki would explain to me the process in detail and I would be clueless and just nodding my head since this was my first time and I got no clue about being blonde along with the technical terms included in the process of doing it. She knew this and changed her way of explaining so that I could understand it better. Haha. Things I learned was 1 close my eyes when they're rinsing off the bleach, 2 also close my eyes when I'm on the dryer with the bleach and 3 take all the stretch breaks that's offered. There's always a first time for everyone. The results were amazing!! I was nervous, scared and excited because it was a big change but also I didn't know if the color was gonna match me.
